Ok so I'm fresh faced into this IT stuff. Someone recommended I get the A+ cert first. What can I do with that? I don't really have a direction yet I really just want to get my foot in the door in this field. :lupe:

Why don't you figure out what you want to do first. There's no point in getting your foot in the door if you don't know which door it is.

Lol exactly.

Cats need to take 5 things they enjoy doing or find interesting and rank them in order of what the love the most. Then look up the LOW salary for it and then ask themelves could they live on that salary and decide what they want to do with theie lives.

Cats who clueless walk into IT OR Software dev end up losing every time.

Well, its just so many different paths I just want to start at the basics and go from there. Im not that new into IT and I know that its what I want to do, I'm just a little lost on all of the certs and jobs involved. I was leaning more towards IT support specialist.

It's all good, it's just that if we're gonna get you the right advice we needed more info like this. This isn't my area of expertise but I'm sure some of the other brehs can point you in the right direction. As a follow up, now that you've identified a place you want to start, ask yourself, "and then what?"

Aren't you a devops/cloud engineer? It seems like most of the remote jobs are of those responsibilities very few that I've been able to find are systems engineering :francis:
Yeah but I'm not remote any more lol. I'm looking for another remote gig too but they are available.
