What the role entails depends on the organization. In my experience, Ive seen the following:

  • SM/Developer who in reality is just a developer who runs meetings
  • Former Project Manager who now is an SM due to an Agile transformation
  • Servant Leader who is truly focused on continuous improvement. Influences quantifiable change each iteration.
The cheerleader would exist in an org that is very Agile and succesful. Typically the SM role is sunsetted in instances like that as the teams are mature enough to function with no SM.
You're correct and underscore my issue as to why the cert is seen as so important on that list. The role is easily, and usually is, replaced.
I guess they have their place on a directionless team/org or those without any Senior architects/devs having experience in all phases of delivering solutions.
But im admittedly biased due to being the latter.

Anyone got any knowledge on AWS I'm trying to decide if I want to do that or Network+ the cloud looks interesting. I'm wanting to go on the Networking path.
You'll need that fundamental knowledge of networking you'd acquire with Network+ if you decide to and get into cloud administration/infrastructure so you cant go wrong there.

Are there any sites that can break down the IT field in general terms? (Along with the projected salary) I’m getting out of the military after about 4 years as an officer.

Had some legal issues. Have an arrest but no conviction. The clock is ticking for me.

-Went to an HBCU, majored in journalism
-Did the military officer thing. Not trying to do anything military related on the outside though
-Was thinking about using the GI Bill for an MBA, hopefully the IT field will allow me to not go back to school
-I’m a simple man brehs, im used to living off 40k, but obviously would like to increase my earning potential

Does anyone have any introduction sites I can read up on?

Do you have any prior IT experience? If not I would not suggest anything in this field other than Cloud administration or High end development. Reason being is that in the mid level it's EXREMELY overcrowded and the money isn't that great anymore unless you in an area such as DC, but with your issues in the military you might have a hard time there because of all the jobs requiring security clearances. Entry level in IT is a hard break-in these days.

I have the Solutions Architect Associate cert. The new exams are pretty difficult, I guess Amazon is trying to make them more exclusive than they already are. If you want to get into cloud you should do some research on Google and Microsofts (Azure) cloud platforms. I researched all three but ultimately went with AWS because it seems like most companies who hire for AWS cloud/DevOps roles use Linux and I've been using it for a few years. If you don't have any experience with Networking it wouldn't be a bad idea to get the NET+ cert first then dive into one of the cloud platforms since there is a lot of overlap with the two when it comes to setting up VPCs.

I’m consistently hitting around 95 percent on all three mike Myers 901 Practice tests. He said once you can hit 85 regularly you are ready to take the exam. Should I go ahead and schedule the exam for this month? I’m super nervous but I’m performing well, I still have like five videos left from messer to finish. I also have messers study guide to go over.

I assume you still have some level of security clearance if you're still in correct? Is it Secret, TS, etc? You're is a good position. Look up consulting firms like Accenture, Booz Allen, Deloitte, etc. They go out of their way to hire vets.

The above two programs will get you the skills and put you in a position for jobs without spending a dime. There are a few more out there if you need more assistance. You're in a better position than most of the population with your background.
