lol. I`m on the Product side of things, but I'm strongly considering a PMP just for job security. Like if times ever got hard I could take a Project or Program manager role and still at a high salary.
Get that PMP bruh.

Anyone in Houston wanna explain why it's such a shyt tech city compared to ATX, Dallas, and SA? I have recruiters in those three cities blowing up my inbox but the one city I wanna move to I only get a few messages here and there and it's all for Azure even though I work with AWS.
And wassup with these Indian recruiters telling me to "Do the needful"? fukk does that even mean bruh?![]()
This is Big Oil country down here so the IT spots that are available are probably in that line of work. Even worst, the only two types of jobs with openings down here are Cloud and Security and I think that's becuz no one has the patience to learn Cloud and you have to be squeaky clean in security.
I'm actually looking for a cloud position in HTX but most job postings are for sysadmins and hell desk. The majority of cloud positions seem to be DevOps and they're looking for 5 years of experience and a bunch of other ridiculous demands. Saw a post yesterday that required 7 years of experience in Server 2016![]()
lol man apply for the hell of it. Ignore the yrs of experience as long as you got experience in some of the hard skills
Yeah, that's what I've been doing. Had a couple interviews already that went pretty well. I'll never take having a steady job for granted again because this job searching stuff is stressful.
waht red flags?make sure you do your due dillagence. I took a gig that seemed good but i ignored some red flags and now I'm trying to bounce.

Just had an interview for a SOC job today. Went pretty well but I fukked up on not knowing that ftp was on port20-21. Knocked pretty much every other question out the ballpark though. My interviewer also seemed impressed that I looked him and the other interviewer up on LinkedIn and knew stuff about them. I need this job. I'm fukking tired of slavetop support.
