Quick Question brehs has a company ever asked for your check stubs during the hiring process??

Yes, but I always refuse. Last month I went on an interview for a position I wanted really bad but the President of the company asked me to give him my tax returns. I walked the fukk out. Companies nowadays are on some weird and invasive shyt but even if you supply them with all the information they want they'll still ghost you even after final interviews. It's why I have no loyalty to any business, only to myself.

Only people you should be showing paycheck stubs to are bank officials when applying for a loan or apartment managers when trying to rent a space. Anyone else can fukk right off.

HIREVUE VIDEO ASSESSMENT

You will receive a separate invitation to complete a video interview in your email from HireVue in the next 24 hours. The HireVue Assessment is a video recording of yourself answering questions that pop up on the screen. This is a closed-book test, so please do not look up the answers while you are answering the questions as that will be considered cheating. You will have a specific amount of time (generally 2-3 minutes) to answer each question. Technical questions will include overall Networking, Linux and Windows experience/abilities. We will be looking for your practical experience with these technologies, not dictionary definitions. In order to continue to the next steps of the interview process, please complete the HireVue assessment utilizing the link that has been sent to you from Hirevue. Please be sure to check the spam folder of your e-mail if you are unable to locate it and also note that the e-mail will be sent from a Hirevue e-mail address and not an Amazon e-mail address.

You have 72 hours to complete the interview from the time you receive the email from HireVue. If you do not complete the Hirevue assessment by the expiration date, we will assume that you are no longer interested in the position and your application will be withdrawn from consideration. Once it is completed you will hear back from us within 7 business days. If you will be unable to complete the assessment by the due date and need an extension, please let me know no later than 24 hours prior to the expiration date.

If you experience any technical issues with Hire Vue please contact them directly at one of the following options:

Visit HireVue Customer Support at: customer support site
Send HireVue an e-mail at: %%%%%%%%%%

TIMELINE & PROCESS

Within Ops Tech IT we strive to keep your interview experience within 4 - 5 weeks, however, our interviewers’ schedules may not always match up, which could push out the timeline. If you have any competing offers or pre-scheduled arrangements we need to work around, please let me know. Below is the typical process and timeline of events, dependent on if you move forward.

  1. Online Assessment
    • You will receive a request to complete a Hirevue online, video assessment which our business will review
    • You will have 72 hours to complete the Hirevue Assessment
    • You’ll be notified of next steps within 7 business days after you complete the assessment
  2. Onsite Preparation
    • The RC or myself will request information from you to come onsite to the building for in-person interviews with between 2-4 Amazonians
· It typically takes 3-5 business days to schedule, but they will keep you updated during that process

    • You will receive a confirmation email with everything you need to know in preparation for your onsite
  1. Onsite Interview

Studying for my Security+ currently, however my A+ expires in a few weeks.

I don't think its worth it to pay to renew it at this point as my experience now outweighs it tremendously. But I'd love to keep it listed on my resume. Does anyone list expired certs on their resume? :lupe:

The only time a company will ask for A+ paperwork sometimes is , if you're a third party PC repair tech or filed tech.,,,,,,Basic Dell,HP, Lenovo etc require third party repair vendors to have A+ ,

Failed my sec+ back in april. Retaking it again this week coming up. Ima pass this time :stopitslime:

First time I took it one of my pbq wasnt event working :gucci:. I thought I was doing much worse but scored a 695 when a 750 is passing. Idk how close that was to passing :hubie:

My problem areas are creyptography and idenity/ access mgmt.

This exam is annoying. Having to remember the differences between RADIUS, Kerberos, LDAP. Also, the different types of EAP. Like FAST, TTLS, TLS and PEAP. What I had to study was that EAP-TLS requires server and client authenication while the rest only hace server side requirements.

Also, what is included wit Type I, II, III authenication .:francis:

2 coworkers who work on my contract passed. And are starting their secret clearance background checks. They just waiting for me to pass, so that pressure:sadcam:.

Man with my exp, Sec+ and a secret clearance Im not getting paid less than $60K.

I currently make 110k in the midwest as a network engineer, If anyone needs help or advice let me know

I have my CCNP RS, and 5 years exp, 27 years old.

I'm happy to contribute!!!

I do feel network engineering is the safest IT field for the next 5-10 years and poised to make for easy promotions and growth. At every company I've been in the network engineers are usually in their late 40's mid 50s and poised to retire, This will open up many opportunities in the near future for anyone with decent experience in the field.

Yes i need help. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems in May of 2017. Since then I have been stuck at a call center making 14/hr. I have been applying to entry level help desk positions for the past 2 years, but jobs and recruiters from staffing agencies don'd hire me because they say I have no experience. Currently I'm in NC. Should I relocate to a state like TX or another major city? Any advice you can provide would be helpful.

What field are looking to specialize in? Security? Networking? AWS? Microsoft? VMware/Virtualization?

While an entry Level help desk position will help give you hands on experience, I would recommend finding the niche you want to go down and working toward it, Skills that use A+ and basic computer troubleshooting are dime a dozen and less applicable in this day and age. The things you've learned at the call center will be the same things you learn at a help desk. I'm sure they also touched upon every single niche I mentioned above in your degree program.

So my advice is to find your specialization and work toward the starter certs in that area, because you wont be making much more then you are at help desk. If anything search for a NOC job, that will give you a more well rounded skillset before diving deep into whatever.

but jobs and recruiters from staffing agencies don'd hire me because they say I have no experience.

For the first 2 years I also had this issue and I feel your pain......until I lied on my resume about my "experience" and proved that I had it during my interviews.

I would lab all day long and knew how to design Active directory environments, Navigate linux, BUILT more fukking networks than I could fathom in Packet tracer and GNS3. But because I had no "Real Life Job experience" on my resume I was constantly getting turned down.

So I invented fictitious scenarios that i did for my job with the aforementioned technologies, Went into every interview I had and aced them, At one point and time I literally had 3 jobs offer and recruiters getting feedback from the technical interviewers saying I was the blew the other candidates away. I know my shyt but no one would give me a shot. I don't recommend doing this but if you DO MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOUR shyt, OR ELSE YOU WILL BE OUTED EVENTUALLY BY SOMEONE WHO IS TECHNICALLY LEAGUES AHEAD OF YOU. Also never be afraid to say you don't know during the interview.
