Joel Embiid smirking after another 2nd round exit: "Like someone (Giannis) said its not a failure, its steps to success"

Has Giannis' quote done more harm?

The Seum spent all season gassing these two sorry ass nxggas as MVP, alternating back and forth between them both just to keep an agenda alive, only for them to crash out of the playoffs in embarrassing fashion and talk about their respective seasons on some TED Talk participation trophy shyt.

Ugh.

:mjlol: at this bullshyt, you have absolutely NO credibility posting this hypocrisy

@Gil Scott-Heroin like come on b.

I don’t know why you take this role of being the dude who goes against the “Coli’s narratives” to the point you end just creating counter narratives.

But run with what you want.
Here's the problem,

You're taking what he says at the presser at surface value, which is fine if that's how you want to perceive it, but you're ignoring the accompanying context:

- he's been crying for the last few seasons about not getting MVP, to the point where this year he had his trainer and the Philly media running a smear campaign on the other candidates; he even came out with a shameless hit piece directed at Jokic and pleading for his own case to win MVP, right at the time he was due to face the Nuggets, but he opted to 'rest' instead for that Jokic matchup.
- after the Game 2 loss he came out and said how he wouldn't be 100% for the rest of the playoffs because the injury he had would take 4-6 weeks to heal and I quote, "With what I have, I'm supposed to be out for, what, four to six weeks or something like that?" Embiid said. "So, I'm not going to be 100% for that whole time, or I"m not going to be fully healed for that whole time."
-
after the Game 6 loss he came out and said how his team didn't give him the ball down the stretch.

And then in Game 7 he comes out and shyts the bed (once again) with a 15 point on 5-18 field goal performance.

This is the story he's created for himself, where he's been the victim of not getting what he believes is his deserved props [MVP], and when things don't go his way, it's someone else's fault [teammates not getting him the ball] or something else is to blame [his injury]. So while you may feel like what he's saying in the presser is him taking accountability, I see it as someone who's still trying to bullshyt about his part in all this.

Does that make sense to you?

We’ll take him on the Heat. Spo will get the most out of him.

Jimmy Bam Spo lineup is not getting scored on. Do it, Pat.
