The Fox News town hall that Bernie did showed why Trump would have been screwed in a debate with him.

Trump tied to attack Biden by tying him to Bernie's policies, and Biden had to keep deflecting and saying, "Those aren't my policies". It was one of his worst moments of the debate because the deflections don't look good to independents AND they piss off liberals.

Bernie's advantage is that he actually LIKES his policies and knows how to sell them. Bernie was selling his policies to the Fox News audience, he was selling his policies to Joe Rogan's audience. He's likeable because he actually believes in what he's doing. And especially right now? Think of how easily Bernie can promote Medicare for all while coronavirus is ravaging the country. Think of how easily Bernie can promote a better safety net while everyone is unemployed. Think of how easily Bernie can dismiss attacks on his spending when even the Republicans are desperate to sign $2.5 trillion relief bills. Trump would have been food.

The thing is though, he can't be shown to support Bernie because the Eight has made Bernie and AOC policies toxic buzzwords to the uninformed/pubsheep. Biden also as the debates showed isn't as quick on his feet. Trump was able to go hard at Biden when he was stuttering and trying to get to a point and only really got nasty when Biden would get charged up and heated and really bring it to him off the cuff.

Biden, for whatever you wanna say, knows he can't play a full hand on what his plans are because like hilary alot of what the Dems could/should do have been shredded by Fox news and the media playing both sides. It was smar not to say the green deal wasn't his and while I cringed at the time it was smart to call himself the party. People may not be able to gather around the dem platform together but the people have, as polling shows, come to support the nominee by and large.

Damn that, I want him to make as big of an ass out of himself as he can. In the end, that’s helping to push reasonable, traditional Republicans over to Biden. The last thing you want is to try to make Trump look presidential. Let him be as trash as he can be.
