Breh, I know that shyt annoyed you but letting Trump be unhinged is the best thing that could’ve happened. This wouldn’t have been as damaging to his campaign if moderators could mute his mic and save him from himself.

Damn that, I want him to make as big of an ass out of himself as he can. In the end, that’s helping to push reasonable, traditional Republicans over to Biden. The last thing you want is to try to make Trump look presidential. Let him be as trash as he can be. Leave him with only his most extreme supporters and steal away any leftover voters that are embarrassed by these antics.
Yeah this makes sense. Trump being Trump worked in 2016 because all of his opponents were arguably more unlikeable, but it makes him look like an a$$hole when he does it against Biden, so yeah let him make himself a clown in front of the whole world.

This. Why would Biden’s team want to change anything?:dead: Let this clown embarrass himself. Same thing with his press conferences more people see them the better.:heh:

Fo real, I don’t think Americans will be cool with Trump making a sham and mockery of the presidency on this stage. Letting him do everything last night and more is huge for Biden. It’s not the same scenario of being a fresh, new face in Washington and Biden is willing to throw punches with him.

shyt is major fr. Feels like that part on Independence Day when they figured out how to blow up the spaceships. :pachaha:

Am I the only one who noticed that Trump has this dumb-ass gameplan where he keeps suggesting Biden supports "radical left" ideas (commonly known as progressive policies) so he can either call Biden a socialist if Biden does support them, or start shouting that Biden is losing all of the left if Biden doesn't support them in the hope that Biden will backtrack so he can still call him a socialist.

This is arguably one of the flaws of Biden's centrism in that Trump can attack him from both the left and the right.

The bold is true but what is the point of a debate like we had last night other than to highlight how dysfunctional US politics is right now?

Nobody was happy watching that disaster, the common review theme today is not Biden won, its "America lost" so why commit to the same damn thing again?

A townhall would be far more constructive for Joe to get his message out to the voters then another shytshow debate...

i dont know who she is, but apparently a kristen welker is the third moderator

Next two debates are on Thursday nights, and given how much of a shyt show this was, wouldn't surprise me to see people tune out and watch Thursday Night Football. The two games on during the next 2 presidential debates are Kansas City/Buffalo and Philly/NY Giants.

That Freudian slip was atrocious. He massively fukked up telling then to stand by rather than stand down.

nah you piece of shyt, you said I was being hysterical and Trump would never entertain not leaving the white house. Now, it's a Freudian slip? I hope there is a civil war to see what CACs like you would do when shyt get real

I am torn as to whether or not Bernie would have been better.

On one hand, he has a solid record of good foreign policy and being pro worker (though he has shifted towards being pro unrestricted immigration in recent years). And he is passionate about what he believes in + inspires a lot of young people.

BUT he is the face of the hard left in the US, and he would not have been able to disown the accusations of being very left wing that he tried with Biden.
He also has a tendency to tacitly or explicitly praise communists/communism which can be bad in places like Florida.
And I remember in the debate with Hillary, he got angry and turned red (while Biden looked cool the whole time).

Then there's Warren who I think would be the best of the three. But she is a old and a woman (which hurt Hillary) and Trump would keep calling her Pocahontas.

But maybe right wing media would be fairer to her due to Tucker Carlson's love for left wing economics (he even praised Elizabeth Warren and her book).

This is arguably one of the flaws of Biden's centrism in that Trump can attack him from both the left and the right.

Facts, he can exploit the delicate unity within the party through Biden’s centrism. As someone else said, he can paint him as a left wing socialist pawn or he can force Biden to defend himself but potentially alienate young and progressive voters.

It might be a tactic used in the later debates so Biden gotta be ready for it. Being clear on where he stands would help imo. As long as he can stand in his square firmly and let Trump go off on wild tangents and bullish debate tactics.

Yep, If I'm not mistaken, Trumps approval rating usually goes up when we haven't heard from him for a few days. Every time he opens his mouth, America is reminded what a raging a$$hole lunatic he is.

Is the 3rd debate on foreign policy?
If so then I really hope he outflanks Trump on noninterventionism and doesn't push the outdated "spread democracy" thing.

He needs to call out Trump on claiming to be a non interventionist but killing Solemani and nearly starting war with Iran.

Bernie can't deny he's a socialist and he doesn't...This country will NEVER go for that...

That’s exactly what’s needed tho. The public thought that trolling and unpresidential shyt was somehow the way to go. You don’t want people to be happy watching because we’ve all gotta bear witness to it. The problem is that people haven’t taken government/president serious at all and it’s just assumed that things will work without our involvement.

A town hall should also be had so there are constructive discussions (if you think that’s even possible with Trump) but all those bad feelings Americans are feeling is gonna push a good portion of them to the polls to vote.

you know what, i disagree :hubie:

say what you want about it, but that was a massive W for trump. he took out a so-called terrorist with zero blowback and without getting into a war, and trump can EASILY brag about that on the debate stage

don't think biden wants to question that one, this isnt the dem primary anymore

Its pretty sad too. I had a discussion with a voter at work and she flat out said she can’t fukk with Socialism. When I asked her to actually explain what Socialism is it was a bunch of fear mongering bullshyt. After explaining the certain elements of Socialism we do use it really changed her perspective.

I wish that as a society we could sue government for educational malpractice. We’ll be taught bullshyt at a moments notice just to protect the wealth and privilege of a tiny few.
