And the shyt that really hurts is that it effects my relationship with my new girl
I can't really take her out
Or do nice things for her
She's good with going to the park and shyt like that but she deserves so much more
She been holding me down throughout all of this

Another thing that hurts is I can't really take the kids out either
I can't buy them their favorite cereal for when they come over
I can't take them for ice cream or pizza

:wow:

Does your new gf have a job?

I think the main issue is that he doesn'tind paying for his children, he just can't afford the amount that they ordered relative to his income. So not only is he going to struggle to pay for necessities, he also can't afford to do anything else like treating himself or doing simple things to keep from going crazy. It's not s simple as saying "well just make more money" or just dismissing it like "oh well, man up nikka" you can't afford rent, can't pay a car note, cant date because you have mo expendable income, and definitely can't save. So what do you do? Look for a better job and or work 2 jobs? Then what? Possibly pay more in child support along with working more which means less time for his kids? It's almost like dude is in a hopeless situation from his view and I really hate it for OP honestly.

This pretty much sums up how i feel

I did
5 years younger than her
Prettier
Got a lot of shyt going for her
My BM thought my new girl was gonna be temporary
When she realized it wasn't like that
She showed up to my new place that i shared with my new girl at 7am
Instigated a fight
Then pressed charges on my girl
My girl getting arrested really fukks up her future employment opportunities

Where is this coming from?

Anecdotal as it may be, I don't know any man (and growing up around mostly AAs and Latinos, you see this a lot) that wanted custody and actually got it.

I won't argue that your numbers are wrong, just hard to believe.
But :ehh:
the first part comes from a Huffington Post article about a study dispelling gender bias when it comes to child custody.
source
Dispelling The Myth Of Gender Bias In The Family Court System

the second part comes from the Census. it was in the text preview but i can't open the file. the exact number was like 17.43% men with primary custody i think.

another NY Times article states that 50% of the time a dad goes through with the court option he gets primary custody. so with the previous stats only 1.5% decided to go to court. If more men went to court rather than the other options that were listed, there'd be more dads with primary custody
source:
"There are now 2.2 million divorced women in the United States who do not have primary physical custody of their children, and an estimated 50 percent of fathers who seek such custody in a disputed divorce are granted it."
http://parenting.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/11/17/more-fathers-getting-custody-in-divorce/?_r=0

so i guess it seems like men are getting a raw deal, but if the above stats are right then men have a 50/50 chance at getting primary custody IF they continue with the court process but only 1.5% of cases make it that far. so that is a voluntary raw deal

I mean I been there so I'm not joking the best thing to do is get a lawyer motion to modify for more time or perhaps joint custody. If you got a consistent history of being there for your kids you should be awarded. Don't ever try to go in there and speak without a lawyer. Also if you can put insurance on the children you can always modify the order.
