They wouldn’t have made the ECF in any of those years

And if they was in the East y’all wouldn’t even talk about them

They basically 2010 Hawks status :heh:

PLEASE LOOK AT THE ROSTERS PLAYER FOR PLAYER

UTAH >>>

AND YES, A TEAM THAT WON 54 GAMES IN THE WEST WOULD ABSOLUTELY BE ECF CONTENDERS OUT EAST

U MUST BE FORGETTING, THE DEBATE FOR BEST PG IN THE LEAGUE THEM DAYS WAS BETWEEN DERON WILLIAMS AND CP3...........DONT LET DERON'S QUICK DECLINE FOOL U. HE WAS ABSOLUTELY ELITE IN UTAH.
I never bought into the Deron hype. He was in a system that allowed him to put up great stats but I always felt his numbers had no impact.

I looked at the rosters :russell:

And that team isn’t beating the Cavs, Pistons, Celtics, Magic of that era. How are they making ECF :heh:

They was a typical 50 win team with a second round exit window nothing special

Are we talking about that Hawks team filled with “Every Dog Has It’s Day” All Stars who will never even sniff a watered down HOF? I dont see much variation between that Utah team or either Hawks teams being discussed. I’m sure there are numbers that show they were a juggernaut tho :ohhh:

Al Horford might make it based off his accolades (5x All-Star, All NBA 3rd Team, All-Defensive Second Team, made playoffs every year of career so far) and college career (2x Champion).

Anyway the 2015 Hawks won 60 games and were ranked 6th on offense and defense. The year the Jazz made the WCF they were only the 18th best defense in the league.

Ur right that none of these teams were gonna win shyt

:dahell: so putting up bigger numbers against weaker competition impresses you?

No player in NBA history has faced stiffer playoff competition than Kobe. The number of 50 win teams he faced year in and year out in the grueling 2000s Western Conference proves that. He also typically faced defensive minded teams in the Finals during an era of slow pace like the Celtics.

If Kobe played a soft schedule every year like LeBron did in the East and then in the Finals was getting to face off against fast paced offensive forced teams like the Warriors, then his numbers would have been more impressive. This is why context and the eye test are critical when evaluating sports than just doing a box score comparison.

For example, look at Kobe's 2010 series against the Suns. Statistically its arguably his finest series. He put up very LeBron-esque stat lines. However, I would say it wasn't close to being his most impressive. Why? Because that Suns team was not as good as the teams Kobe beat in the WCF for his 4 other rings. And also because they were one of the only offensive minded fast pace teams Kobe faced in a big time series.

There's a reason Andre Igoudala said Kobe was tougher to defend than LeBron. Listen to the players. They understand all the context and nuance I am talking about.
no player in history has come close to facing stiffer Competition in the finals but y’all hold that against him :hula:

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
we were blowing out the Celtics in g6 with bum ass Perk

they weren't beating us again in LA

Perkins went down halfway into the first and it was a six point game, stop it lol...

Losing Perkins schematically changed both how Boston could defend the interior and LA's offensive gameplan. You may not remember the series but that was a huge talking point during the game, after the game, and going in to G7 when it was said Perkins wouldnt play...
