you think Nike would gladly hand out a deal like that?

it requires negotiation. Those companies want nothing more than to fukk over the players for their own profits.
he's only able to negotiate because he's one of the best players ever

u coli idiots acting like bron has a deal like that and someone like klay thompson doesn't cuz he has more business skill :dead:

if klay asks for a lifetime nike deal they'll :laff:

Breaking a record and being that person are two different things.

Magic and Lebron play somewhat similar but aren't the same person and don't play exactly alike. Shag and Wilt were both dominant but played nothing alike. Kobe and MJ are probably the only people that really look darn near alike when playing and that is just cause Kobe Mimicked him. But even then Kobe didn't play completely the same as MJ.

So no you won't see another Jordan or Kobe or Lebron or Bird or Dirk or Shaq.

You will see something similar and just as great.

I agree something similar but noth the same.

Michael Jackson looked up to James Brown as his idol. Mike Jackson was his generations James Brown (in terms of dance moves and putting on a show)

But he wasn't James Brown. This is what I mean when I say once these dudes are gone there will be no one like them.

True i wouldn't be surprised if curry gets a deal like that with UA

He will. But that Nike deal is not what makes him a great business man. All those investment deals and the fact that his agent is managing players for an agency which is nothing but an arm of lebrons business company. All the while Lebron the VP of the players union.

Lebron out here making back channel deals like a multinational company. But like I said this isn't by mistake....if Warren Buffet your mentor....well you should be pretty good at making business deals.

That's not business skill. That's friendship and friendship. Technically it's good business, but these contracts negotiate themselves. He's not getting Seth Curry and Robert Covington max deals and Nike contracts.

LeBron does handle himself very well.....alot. Seems to be a good Dad, too.

But he does alotta real " hey look at me" stuff when he feels there's not enough attention on him, and that's why people either don't like him or are just highly critical of him.

That was my point.

For the record I'm a LeBron fan....but if y'all don't think son be attention-whoring, y'all wildin.

You try being raised by a single mother in poverty. Attention whoring would be the least of your problems.

"James this year let lapse his endorsement deal with McDonald’s Corp., instead throwing his weight behind the Blaze Pizza chain, in which he is an investor. Last week James’s multimedia venture, called Uninterrupted, secured a $15.8 million investment from Warner Bros. Entertainment and Turner Sports.

His lifetime deal with Nike could eventually become something similar to Michael Jordan’s. Jordan, 52, is officially the chief executive officer of the Jordan Brand, which continues to release new shoes. Sales of Air Jordan brand shoes topped $2.6 billion last year, according to Forbes.

Such an open-ended deal is very rare. Soccer star David Beckham reportedly has a lifetime deal with Adidas, according to ESPN. Allen Iverson at one time signed with Reebok in what the Associated Press called a "lifetime deal," although those sometimes refer to a player’s career, not his mortality."
