For those who didn't follow it, judges blocked racially biased congressional maps in Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida that were purposely created to eliminate Black congressional seats.
The the Trump-led Supreme Court came through and overturned the judges' decisions, letting those states keep their anti-Black congressional maps.
And it looks likely that that will literally be the difference giving Republicans control of the House of Representatives, thus knocking 5 Black chairmen of Congressional Committees and 20+ Black subcommittee chairs out of power.
pay a few blacks to lead the rest to not vote or vote against their best interests......Been an old yet very effective ployHere's the background:

U.S. court rejects Alabama redistricting as violating Black voting rights
A U.S. court rejected on Monday the Alabama legislature's redrawn U.S. congressional district map for November elections, saying it likely violated the Voting Rights Act and stood to deny Black voters an additional representative.www.reuters.com
Supreme Court stepped in, and the 3 Trump judges + Sam Alito and Clarence Thomas said, "Nah, you don't actually have to, go ahead and keep the racist maps for this election."
Now only 1 out of 7 Congressional districts (14%) is majority-black, even though the state's population is over 25% Black.

Supreme court lets Alabama use maps decried as biased against Black voters
Justices put on hold a lower court ruling that state must draw new congressional districts before the 2022 electionswww.theguardian.com
This is EXACTLY what the Voting Rights Act was supposed to stop, and what the conservative justices destroyed when they gutted the VRA without a legislative vote and said Southern States don't need to seek prior approval for denying Black representation anymore.
