These aren't state seats though, they're US House seats. The Republicans are using their control in individual states to rig the votes and fukk up the whole country.
They couldn't do that before because it's unconstitutional to fukk up Black representation like that and the Voting Rights Act blocked them from even trying. But the right-wing Supreme Court rewrote the Voting Rights Act so that it can't do shyt anymore.

This is EXACTLY what the Voting Rights Act was supposed to stop, and what the conservative justices destroyed when they gutted the VRA without a legislative vote and said Southern States don't need to seek prior approval for denying Black representation anymore.
