I don't think enough of our people completely understand the importance of political representation. For decades the Republicans have corrupted and stifled the possibility of progress so much that apathy has set in a good number of our people (and a good numbers of Americans period). People can't even fathom how their lives would be improved by political participation so they don't care if their political power is being eroded right in front of them. Its almost as if that was the goal all along...

Sow apathy amongst the poor and working class (and especially blacks) so they won't even think to put up a fight.

No we understand it but also understand money talks even more than songs, prayers and hugs.

1. More black families, at least get the marriage rate to 48%
2. Less black killing, even though it's gone down a lot white folks still have the authority to report it so they can fabricate the numbers to push an agenda, we need to completely change the tone.
Structure is key, in 5 years we'll be done, once the recession hits a lot of these uppity Negroes depending on that office gig gonna be outta luck, watch how the media reports it, it will affect us 10 times worse than other groups since we have the least structure.

Agreed on all fronts.. And its already over because we as in Black people never recovered from the '08 recession....January will be mass layoffs and foreclosures and like you said, it will affect us the most like it did last time.

WOAT take. The average Black person spends very little of their energy on politics, to suggest that that's the reason for lack of Black educational and financial power is just victim-blaming.

A certain subset of Asian immigrants with selection bias advantages were able to succeed in those realms and it didn't have jack shyt to do with how much they were interested in politics.

If you think that Republicans systematically destroying Black political power in the states where the most Black people live won't have a detrimental impact on Black people's academic and economic futures, you're being clueless.
