the talent thing is subjective, especially since I don't know your friends and haven't seen their work, or much of his for that matter. people work toward something for years on end and someone else comes along and is more successful because people resonate w/ their talent, vision and product better...but as ecko put it, the contradictory shyt is hard to deal with sometimes w/ kanye, because you love him for it at times and at other times. I know there is a double standard in the fashion industry on the higher end, especially, but it seems like he's so enamored with being on that end he's kinda shoving the end where everyday people shop aside. if that's all he's going for, no problem. that's his right and he's got to figure that out because it doenst look likely, but now im thinking back to his zane interview where he said he wanted to design hs bball unis and build this trillion dollar company. you don't do that w/o reaching down to the everyday consumer to fill your basket on the regular and maintain your baseline. he wants it all, which again is his right, but he's got to get his vision and story straight.
