They gave in :snoop:

Thread title change

Jobs were likely threatened along with dismissals. Its easy for me to say they should have continued their boycott but they had much more to lose.

She was on camera consensually agreeing to have a train ran on her. This was a case of regret and the local law enforcement saw just that hence no charges.

The university only suspended them to save their own skin because of a likely Title IX lawsuit that's coming their way. Due process and the right to face your accuser is guaranteed by the Constitution. Too bad universities pick and choose when they want to follow it. With the kangaroo courts on campuses across the country, they wouldn't have fared any better if actually given that chance.

when the participant says "lets have sex,"its called consent.

The problem with what you quoted, and what we as men are taught (and its mostly men), is that we don't ask for it. We wait for it to "appear" to be good instead of getting confirmation.

Again, I dont know if she consented or not (I also dont know if she consented to being recorded or not), but it is important for us not to wait for things to "appear" to be okay and instead having the participants say its okay.
The problem with trying to make arguments for affirmative consent is you're going against how people have been socialized since birth. Telling somoene to stop and ask for a yes for every sexual act seems insane to many. It's not even necessarily people who are proponents of sexual assault, it just sounds to them like you're trying to legislate bedroom interactions. What you don't add to your "what we are taught as men" spiel is that most women are also taught not to ask for it and wait for men to make the first move. Those are the gender roles. I think you, and many progressives go about a lot of these issues the wrong way. It comes down as just condemning men (many of them well-meaning) as opposed to trying to address a problem and understanding the perspectives of both well-meaning parties. Right or wrong, the natural instinct is for people to get defensive. You cannot just beat people into submission. These laws exist right now and almost no one is following them. They probably won't be consistently followed for another four of 5 years when you get a generation of people raised on them and advised on them in sex ed. like how people were advised against smoking when we were kids. We grew up knowing it was wrong.

None of us know what really happened since we obviously weren't there, that bieng said if they truthfully did rape her then, yes they deserve to be suspended and locked up. The reason why we come of the way we do regarding to girl is because we live in a society that absolves women of ALL accountability and responsibility especially Cacettes, so if a women smashes someome they regret or cheats all she has to say is she was raped and 9/10 the courts will believe her.

This shyt happens alot in fact my own cousin spent a year in prison cause he smashed some thotty at a party and later on found out she was engaged, so she lied on him to protect her relationship. And the fukked up thing about it was he recorded them smashing, and even said he had footage of her WILLINGLY giving him head amongst other stuff, but the evidence was never brought i to court because of defamation laws, and because judges wanted to SPARE her the embaressment:stopitslime: this shyt would have all been handled if he would have shown the video hell even a snippet.

thats not true.

"appears to be" is not the same as "she agreed"

Questions. Did she consent to being recorded? Did she consent to it being shown in public?

I really don't know the answer, does anyone know?

If the answers are yes I understand the protest. If not, what are the players thinking!

*Edit*. didn't realize they're suspending random dudes that weren't there. I get it now. They need to be more specific in what they're protesting though.
Who cares if she consented to the video? Was it sexual assault? That's the charge, correct? If the charge was illegal recording or whatever then we have a discussion

I haven't read through the thread, but; according to Bomani's show Friday night, ol girl wasn't even tryna have sex with the first two dudes she was with and there wasn't any drugs/alcohol involve, let alone the dudes who joined in after those two.

Has there been any new info?

This sounds like rape and dude's not knowing what consent is.
