Just settle in and get on a program you can lose a noticeable amount, disregard the number.

so for those of yall who have attempted calorie counting as i talked about in the guide

hows it going? stats? are yall losing 1-3lbs a week?

anyone else have problems with constipation and cutting diets?

How did you resolve this? i tried using a metamucil and it helps, but it also has a few calories.

Down to floating right on 180. The scales I was using were sketchy. Best I can figure I was a legit 190 around May 1st. I really want to hit 175 by 7/4 and 170 by 8/1.

im glad to see yall are really doing it, im proud of yall :to: keep us posted with your progress, as i said earlier i strongly recommend weekly weigh ins vs daily

im going to clean up the guide and having user testimonials would go along way to its legitimacy

IIFYM is a strong philosophy that doesnt have enough visibility but it can with yall's help

all you need to lose weight. if you can burn about 500-1000 extra calories a day you can eat whatever you want within reason. eat 3 meals a day 800 or so calories a meal.
i was losing 5 pounds a week like that.

my basic regimine is you have to earn the junk food you eat by burning the calories off somehow. i lost 80 pounds in about 4-5 months like that.

weight doesnt necessarily mean 100% fat

thus the guide

but yes that is the basis of my guide if you havent read it

I'm trying to recalculate my deficit numbers for my current weight.

What would you guys consider "intense" for activity?

according to mms, even intense activity doesn't warrant an "intense activity factor" # when running the calc for a cut. i actually am very inclined to agree w him. i work out hard 6-7 days a week and i need to cut back even more on my cals than i already have.

Extreme Fat Loss 1534

I think MMS said this also but I'm going to split the difference to 1700. 1534 just isn't realistic considering the level of workouts I'm doing basically every day.

subtract 500-800 from 2557 :ld:

pretty close estimates i might say :dwillhuh:

one of the biggest purposes of my version of IIFYM is to preserve muscle, technically you can get away with higher deficits, but the reason i limit it to 800 is not only for mental stability but also to allow you to still get enough protein

the goal is to have a good shape at the end of the journey, not be skinny fat and regretting your work :ohhh:

workout activity fluctuates and what may seem like backbreaking work, may end up burning a whopping 100-150 calories

but if you assume you always burn such and such number, but you arent? well you gonna be lookin at that scale and the scale gonna be lookin back at you like :umad:
