And your weight loss was as consistent as when you were doing cardio? Its gonna go down regardless because of the deficit, but just want to know if its more of a gradual change when compared to just running.

weight loss is relatively logarithmic, as in you will lose weight faster the heavier you are(thus your 15lb losses) as you lose weight and stay eating at the same deficit, it will taper down

the way we keep it linear is by periodically rechecking maintenance(IE every 20lbs) to keep the same consistent deficit

it isnt about WEIGHT loss, its about FAT loss. Weight lifting insures that

losing 1lb of pure fat >>>>>>>>>>> losing 3lbs of weight that may or may not be fat(IE water, muscle, blood)

Damn, if I had looked at caloric deficits on a weekly basis instead of daily I would have saved myself a lot of wasted effort and energy.

some people zig zag, but imo its harder to do 1000 cal days and then 2000cal days

as opposed to just having consistent 1700 days :ehh:

I agree, I couldn't do that but some days you might be lower than others for different circumstances. I was just looking at my total for the week and will be well above 3500 in deficit. If I had looked at that way I could have had something else I wanted instead of feeling guilty and having a meltdown at some point down the road.

Stinky Diver on OCT 1st said:
Coming into October still weighing 268. Had a weird September with so many family and social events springing up on me, like going to Chaps Charcoal Restaurant | Baltimore, Maryland (MD) :pachaha: So overall I gained no weight, but I didn't lose any either. That's never gonna happen again.

So for the next month I'm going low-carb, with no cheat days. I'll post a pic with my weight a month from today. I won't weigh myself until that date either so while I'll probably be fiending for a scale by the end of the week, I'm gonna hold strong and believe in what got me this far.

With the hurricane coming through to crush the buildings...Figured I'd go ahead and weigh myself this morning. Weighed in @ 252lbs...And this is including a weekend of camping at the beginning of the month.

Next up is going with a weight lifting program(while still at a deficit) and seeing where that puts me for December. Don't wanna be skinny fat. Anyway, that's 150lbs in 12months in brehs...I feel proud :to: but still not there yet.
