Also this trainer at LA fitness advices a plan where I do 45 min cardio 4 times a week as well as weight training

Should I follow that? I'm trynna shed as much fat as possible

Ok Breh's I fell off the wagon...well actually I did a nose dive off that hoe, but I'm off it nonetheless. The BEST thing (to me) was that I was able to maintain. I didn't gain anything. So over the last 3 months, I'd lose 2-3 lbs in a week but then have a bad eating week and gain them right back. Not the greatest way to go about maintaining but that's what I did.

I'm trying to drop 15lbs now. This is my newest goal. I was cleared to lift and I joined a gym yesterday and I'm headed there this morning. They have a weight circuit and I'm going to do 30 minutes of that. As I suspected there are very few trainers that workout in the ass crack of the morning, so i figure I just need to learn it myself but I really wanted someone to teach me so that I can do it properly, you know?

whats the best way to gauge the # of calories you are eating when you both lunch and dinner at work? the protein shakes are obviously easy, and i try to keep the other meals healthy, but still hard to really know the calorie count

Where are you eating them from? The myfitnesspal.com site has a pretty good database of food. When I know its something not in the database I try to find something similar and plug that in and overestimate just to make sure I am covered.

there is a pretty good cafeteria here, so i typically grab something in there. salad, sandwhich, etc. But good looking on that website. Seems pretty legit with a lot of options. Can you add and item to their database? Or your own database?

Yep you can add almost anything. I did it with my protein powder because at the time they didn't have it listed. They have a "My Foods" section.

Use the app as well.

Its official brehs, I broke. I can't cut anymore for the rest of the year into the first part of January. Just to much going on right now, going to try to maintain where I am at, keep lifting, a little cardio and regroup in January. :manny:

@MMSex, whats your sentiment on those who say you should eat small meals every 2,3 hours as opposed to just lunch, dinner and breakfast? I've had kiniesiology friends at school and what not tell me that because the body can only absorb "X" amount of protein at a certain time.

Broscience or good advice?

the protein doesnt just disappear, it just sits in your bloodstream(or ur gut)

and eating 1 big meal vs 6 meals has the same thermic effect because its more or less a static percentage

the 6 meals is a corporate marketing ploy that makes you buy more food(the more times you buy, the more profit)
