Yeah man. Here's some beats from the past couple years I just dragged and dropped from a couple playlists on YT. Don't open if you have a slow connection. There's a good 20 beats in here.

The Myth is amazing. Styles P was perfect on the. One thing about ALC is no matter who is on his beats, even if you don't like'em, you like'em on his tracks. This was like the perfect lob pass to Styles P beat-wise.

Bible Paper, Bigger U Are Harder You Fall, Dough Pildin' are three beautiful tracks also. I just ALC man. I could listen to his stuff forever :mjcry:

I'd just disagree that he's cashing anything in. He's probably making less money than ever before in his career, and he's either got too much paper or is too stoned and burned out to care. All he does is stay in his house and make music with his buddies that come through. Most of it never sees the light of day. Half of his releases over the past few years came out for free. I know some well known producers just like him (but not him) and they are too wrapped up in getting high and making beats all day to care about much else..

Alc is from Beverly Hills. He doesn't need to worry about money, I'm sure that trust fund is lovely. :wow:

But yea.. looking forward to this shyt, provided P doesn't fukk it up with his new autism style.

Alc is turning into the Eminem version of producers. A white boy dikkridden so heavily because he made a couple of classic beats, but mostly because he has the Black "respected" cosign. Despite the fact that a lot of his beats are straight basura and unmemorable. Goofy samples, flat drums, and minimal-to-zero funkiness.

Dont get me wrong - Alc has made some superb shyt. I give him credit where it's due. Since the mid 2000s, he's the guy that'll make one really dope beat every five years. His stuff just isn't that great.

Go ahead and neg
This idiot...

Alchemist is a primarily sample based producer who has given us tons of free albums that would otherwise not come out because of sample clearance problems... Yet your mad at him for doing a lot of music.

What kind of retarded fan are you?

Probably.

Was it Lifetime? That beat was the best on the album but still kinda lifeless on the drum tip and ultimately boring. Was it Curb Ya Dog? Cool beat with some life in it, but goofy shyt made worse by P's zombie flow. What has Alc really made in the last 5 years that can get a Mobb Deep fan like myself moving? Alc's just cashing in his cred to make forgettable projects with goofy generic nikkas like Currensy, Boldy James, Domo Genesis, Action Bronson, etc. So I'm willing to bet that they haven't received any undeniable bangers from him either.

I've been into Mobb since 97, and there are 3 things I can't stomach
1. P's zombie flow.
2. Alc's abstract goofy drumless beats
3. The wack Hav-impersonators that Mobb love to surround themselves with. 99% of them other nikkas make the most forgettable beats.

I'm a big fan and liked Albert Einstein/13, but the last Mobb album was ehhh and alchemist doesn't make bangers anymore. I don't want to hear the goofy sample loops he's used the last few years with MOBB DEEP.
alchemist doesn't make bangers anymore? :what: :what: gtfoh

I don't think he has to either. A few on every album was perfect. After being down with them for the better part of 20 years, I think a full album is cool though. On Got It Twisted he said he was going for the Quiet Storm feel, with another 80's sample that could rock in a club but still sound mean. When U Hear The is one of the hardest Mobb songs post Murda Muzik IMO. It may not be as hard as Havoc's earlier beats, but even Havoc isn't doing those kind of beats anymore.

Hey, at least Mobb isn't doing this now, right?

I didn't like AE as much as a lot of people did either. For a lot of the same reasons as you. In particular I think the Domo and Bronson projects are the weaker end, beat wise. 360 Waves and Albert Einstein are kind of in the middle. Not really counting the Willie or Fashawn EPs.

I think Covert Coup, Lord Steppington, and M1CS are the best batch of beats recently. The joints he did for Sean Price and Schoolboy Q.

I'm a fan of the hard Mobb sound too. Infamous and HOE can't really be topped. There was a joint that got left off MM called Nobody Likes Me, which is about the best hard/dark Mobb record I heard after HOE. I guess I just adapted with the times. Something like IMDKV was fine for me. I know Mobb is never going all the way back to the darkness levels of the mid 90's.

In what world does lord steppington have better beats than 360 waves or AE? shyt it doesn't even have better beats than Rare chandeliers.

I liked covert coup a lot but I think it's on the same tier as 360 and AE....

The reason I like the Steppington batch is because I really wanted some knocking drums, and they delivered on that. I'm not hating on 360 Waves at all. it's very dope. I did used to kind of hate on Rare Chandeliers, but I listened to it a few weeks ago and got a new appreciation for it. At the time Steppington dropped, I was just really excited for some hard drums man. I'm also a very big Evidence fan. So I just thought they complimented his style very well.

There are so many bangers on there. Out of 16 beats, the only 2 that didn't have drums were Rich Man Play (which is as dope a loop as he's ever found), and Draw Something.

I'd say 360 Waves was the most diverse group of beats that have been on any of the recent projects. You had his old gritty NY style (Yasir Arafat) to Russian Roulette (Tetrahydrons on Mars), to the collage style (Yasir Arafat Prelude), to smooth soul bangers (Luxury Whip), to drumless loops (Tender Greens), to weird left field beats (Shooters), to banging drums (Funyons), to his crazy chop style (Bigger U Are).

It's honestly hard to tier them out to me. I've tried before, but it changes all the time.

:wow: When Prodigy cuts through this track, it's just crazy.

:lupe: can't wait.

Imagine L. Fiasco and Alchemist do an EP. :damn:

Yep. Gibbs and prodigy really pushed Domo to the side hard on that track. If you gave Currensy or Roc Marci on the first verse, and Domo just on the hook, it would've been perfect.

@TheDarceKnight Rare Chandeliers is dope, just accept it breh
I like RC. I admitted a couple of weeks ago that I slept on it. I heard Terry so I went back and checked RC.

Honestly the only beats on there I don't really like are Eggs on the Third Floor (2nd beat is cool) and Demolition Man. I think the 3 bonus joints fukked me up, because I didn't really dig those, and it threw off my perception. Between that and some the rapping/skits between songs. I think that's some of what it was.

But if the project ends at Mike Vick, those are the only 2 beats I don't love. My favorites are definitely bytch I Deserve You, Blood of the Goat, Randy Musical, Sylvester Lundgren, Gateway to Wizardry, and Mike Vick. Rare Chandeliers was one of the beats I didn't really like that grew on me a lot.

Sometimes i wonder if Mobb Deep realizes they have been putting out sub par albums since MM.

At least Nas gave us some decent albums since the 90's.

Mobb Deep should be ashamed of this.
