You would think a multi billion dollar sports league that invests so much time lamenting & celebrating the feats of players & teams from years past would have archives of those teams and players readily available. Unfortunately, you have to scour the deep web to find some classic games in 480p. Heaven forbid you want to watch a regular season game from Novemeber of '05. The NBA sucks in this regard. Shameful shyt.

well one of the things I learned is that some of these old games, the leagues don't own the rights to them. I know for some Yankees games back before the 60s...whoever taped them, has the right to them and to even broadcast them...the rules were different back then as nobody really saw the money in sports and broadcasting them.

Also, a lot of the times, the teams or the league don't have well kept footage of those games if they even have them at all

Bruh they could have MJ Mondays, Kobe Wednesdays, Hakeem Tuesday etc. They have the easiest layup & they’re on their Brandon Knight shyt.
I swore I remember they used to show classic games from the 70s, 80s, And 90s on NBAtv (and ESPN too) like 13-15 years ago during the summer. I'm assuming they stopped that.

Wow this is trash

And those uploads are from the original broadcasts.

The NBA is gonna come with some super-edited corny shyt smh

It was also cool to watch the intro, studio discussion (pregame, halftime, and postgame), and commercials. That’s what I love about any old school telecast of any sporting event or programming from 80s-90s. Oh well :mjcry:

Yup. I loved the whole broadcast not just the games.

It’s weird because they were uploading full classic games on their official YT constantly when the pandemic first happened then they just stopped
hopefully they got a long term plan, bc these nikkas have done a terrible job of showing love for the old shyt. I wish they'd try to work with ESPN at least, bc them nikkas don't be showing shyt in terms of classic NBA games

Fair point. Shame they seem to be either unable or unwilling to figure anything out.

That’s what I liked most. It was cool to be transported back to that moment in time. Watching old CBS games and seeing a young :wow: interviewing people on the sidelines and other random things like that.

Idk how plausible it is but I’d imagine a lot of people would be into a revamped WWE Network style league pass that included access to the NBA’s video library as part of the package to go along with games.

Obviously every single game might not be realistic considering there’s thousands per year but playoff games and notable regular season ones, why not? There’s clearly a market for it.

NBA used to have its full catalog (well, not sure how far it actually went back) available on their web site, but they were charging a dollar or two dollars or something per game. I’m talking around 2004 or so. But they shut that down. I’ve gotta assume they’re gonna do something with all of their games now, as far as you being able to purchase them or sub to an app.

Bruh i was typing pick & roll uk in the search box like ain't no fukking way came here immediately fukk the NBA.
The intact commercials, halftime shows, draft lottery/drafts, satellite feed games, the inside stuff videos all kinds of cool things like that. Whatever they planning if they're planning anything at all won't compare to that damn.
