What made these channels great is they preserved the broadcast with the studio/sideline reports, some with commercials. If the NBA decides to offer an archive of games they're not gonna include all that.

Why would they do that when they love touting about how much social media engagement that they get and the numbers?

They're going to be hard pressed and have a difficult time trying to reign in a problem they helped create and allowed to transpire for years. That social media engagement is the exact reason why they've grown as much as they have, so you'd essentially be alienating viewers with no guarantee that they'll actually watch the game.

so they deleting whole games but channels that have the individual player showcase for a game stays.
i dont watch complete games but I do watch those players highlighted games

anyway the nba can do a lot better with nbatv. when i had it man its so many games they can show thru their history but just decide not to on there
i always say the NFL network is great channel for folks that love the game
they show old games, NFL films docs, still have the studio shows. they have a day where a player takes over the channel and show stuff that their own big games, show love to folks they loved growing up or whatever

imagine the nba doing all that with Nbatv

The intact commercials, halftime shows, draft lottery/drafts, satellite feed games, the inside stuff videos all kinds of cool things like that. Whatever they planning if they're planning anything at all won't compare to that damn.
