MTA is piece of shyt and has been for a very very long time but their employees still making fat checks and ridiculous retirement packages at 55. shyt is a criminal enterprise more than anything
we need to eliminate pensions for public employees until we can fund them responsibly :yeshrug:

im fine with people getting pensions, but not when the money that should be improving quality is going to someone who hasnt driven a train in ten years :camby:

if the money is there? pay em a fat pension, i dont care. but it IS NOT THERE and the systems are just an absolute mess

why the fukk dont we pay public employees MORE money while they're active, and let them invest in their own retirement like everyone else :what:

there is no rail connection to SI because that borough never had a dentention center built.
there was a reason they didnt want any outsiders in. that county tried to be different than the other counties. :manny:

Then get mad at us when we don't acknowledge them as New Yorkers :martin:

SI has a rich history. when slavery was abolished in NY, everyone went to SI to celebrate and drink and shoot fireworks. lasted 2 days.
a lot of certain people moved into that area to live comfortably detached from the other counties but as quikk as the europeans left because of this, more europeans came bakk in and fukked it up with their wealth and started a class system. smfh
you can see it til this day... of who was there first and who came after.

Living in Manhattan:blessed:

A train is on point 90% of the year and if not I can always take the 1. I feel bad for people in BK and Queens because the trains always seemed to be messed up.

I can't understand how they can raise the fare so often. People taking mass transit in NY is guaranteed business. It's not like they ever gave a massive decrease in riders. They have to be caking enough to handle any infrastructure upgrades without paying the cost to us.

I hear co-op homeowners aren't as anal as the homeowners out here.

I am an association's wet dream:

- I am a minimalist and get rid of things very quickly when not in use, so no clutter. But I currently live next to filthy sloppy people so we got roaches anyways that use our apartment as a thorough way occasionally to reach the next sloppy CAC that gives them food to eat. There is nothing more infuriating than having a sparkling clean home, traps set and still see small germans occasionally in the kitchen area and bathroom sometimes in the morning. If the place was a mess it'd be less obvious.

- My Woman and I are quiet in general and even bought a couch so when we get busy the neighbors downstairs don't get the bed rocking noise after 10pm.

- We never slam doors or let them slam shut at ANY time

- Rent is always paid every month

- No repair requests to the landlord/maintenance in the past year AT ALL, but then again the apts are in good shape

The only thing I need to work on is my credit and getting income up just a little.
