agreed. cp3 has all that

and yet he is the ONLY player in the HISTORY of the NBA to blow 4 different 2-0 leads.

Like i said, the kind of PG that Chris Paul is, it wont take u to the Promised Land. Not in todays NBA

Agreed. CP3 is a great PG but he's not a 'transcendent' player that can carry you anywhere by himself. He needs the right mix of players around him to do that. Problem is that he's so ball dominant that a great wing player or post player will get lost in the sauce while CP3 wants to be "that dude."

What kind of BS narratives are y'all spewing. That's like saying you can't win with a C as your best player now, since no one has done it since Shaq 20 years ago. It's always been the players complimenting your superstar/star that determine how much of a contender you are.

A true PG simply runs the team. How often has a team won a championship with a PG as the best player? Zeke & Magic? '73 Knicks you can argue Frazier was their best player that year....but who else? It's an anomaly. And Magic was 6'9.
Giannis just won as a C

This would have been a different series if CP3 could go left or if Booker and Ayton were more seasoned.

Let’s not get carried away with the hot takes.

Every single series in history would've been different if x-player could do this, y-player could do that, and z-player could do this and that.

Can't remember another series were 60% of one team's starting lineup had literally never made the playoffs before. This CP3 hate is really getting out of hand.:mjlol:

This is true and doesn’t take away from my point. To expand on it, as a “true point guard” you’re going to need someone to facilitate to. And that guy needs to make some shots.

Yes a player like Steph or Dame can generate plenty of offense. But I still haven’t seen them single handedly win a chip. It took key offensive performances from Klay (multiple times) & MVP caliber performances from KD for Curry to win. And Dame is still on the clock.

So maybe the argument isn’t that a true point guard can’t win it all. Maybe the argument is that a point guard can’t win it all.

This is assuming we’re having an unbiased discussion when I know we aren’t.

It took key offensive performances from Klay for Steph to win?

What offensive performances in 2015 were these that were any different to any other star player benefiting from?

Don't you remember Klay shytting the bed in the '15 Finals, when he only averaged 16 points on less than 30% shooting from behind the arc, including only scoring five points in the closeout game?
