It took key offensive performances from Klay for Steph to win?
What offensive performances in 2015 were these that were any different to any other star player benefiting from?
Don't you remember Klay shytting the bed in the '15 Finals, when he only averaged 16 points on less than 30% shooting from behind the arc, including only scoring five points in the closeout game?
You're not going to bother googling because you're full of shyt, and you don't want to face the reality of that which you will do if you look up the games.I remember Klay and others saving the warriors season multiple times over the last few years.
not even worth doing all of the googling to site the games.
This is true and doesn’t take away from my point. To expand on it, as a “true point guard” you’re going to need someone to facilitate to. And that guy needs to make some shots.
Yes a player like Steph or Dame can generate plenty of offense. But I still haven’t seen them single handedly win a chip. It took key offensive performances from Klay (multiple times) & MVP caliber performances from KD for Curry to win. And Dame is still on the clock.
So maybe the argument isn’t that a true point guard can’t win it all. Maybe the argument is that a point guard can’t win it all.
This is assuming we’re having an unbiased discussion when I know we aren’t.
see above

this nonsense. Stop with this Movie/TV show storylines. The way some of you coli brehs talk about Team Sports is like they expecting the best player to be IP Man. Even Jack Bauer had Chloe.
nonsense
PG’s should never be your #1 unless they’re supersized. They’re too small to impact the game the way larger players can. It just shows how special Zeke was to be able to do that .
It hasnt been able to lead a team to a finals win since Magic and Zeke.
That was DECADES ago
Thing about the old days is....they the OLD days
JKidd could go left and finish with both hands thoOP
The Mavs title run wasn't lead by their point guard, but he was a key component orchestrating the offense and playing defense.
Dirk and Jet shot lights out, but they don't win the ring without Jason Kidd.
Chris Paul shortcomings don't mean that the position is meaningless.
Do the Lakers finish off the Heat last year without key contribution from Romeo?
Giannis is not a center.Giannis just won as a C
It does matter, or is this that type of thread?Doesn’t matter.
Like many on this board, I don't think hoops is for you, and you should probably spend your time following another sport that isn't going to leave you confused every time you watch it.I stand by my point that Curry has never won a ring single handily.
Evidence:
Lack of finals mvp hardware
Recruiting MVP caliber player to replace Barnes
Inability to advance in the playoffs without Klay or KD on the floor
all points that have been discussed around here ad-nauseum
And the best non-biased conclusion that I can reach on this is a point guard needs to have other players playing at a high level to win.
