Like many on this board, I don't think hoops is for you, and you should probably spend your time following another sport that isn't going to leave you confused every time you watch it.

:manny:

you got it champ

let me see my way on out of here and give your your safe space to make historically terrible takes

He wasn’t the most impactful guy on those finals teams though. That’s why iggy and kd got the mvps. The list is short

Zeke
Billups
Tony Parker

This is why I’ll never shyt on Dame for not leading Portland to ring..it’s damn near impossible to do that as a little guy

I’ve tried telling people this fir years... if ur best/most impactful guy is small, it’s going to be hard to win a 7 game series. Steph was an anomaly and even with Steph, he’s never one a finals MVP, and Iggy held them together that finals run, cause without him, lebron was on a mission

agreed. cp3 has all that

and yet he is the ONLY player in the HISTORY of the NBA to blow 4 different 2-0 leads.

Like i said, the kind of PG that Chris Paul is, it wont take u to the Promised Land. Not in todays NBA

That ain’t a PG problem…that’s a Chris Paul problem. He wasn’t good enough when he needed to be. Honestly give me Steve Nash dog I’ve seen enough

Steve Nash ain’t doing any better

That was his biggest issue. Dude didn’t shoot NEARLY enough. He was efficient on VERY low volume. And his defense was ass.

Prototypical point guards are out of style. They CANT be a main option. They gotta be a 3rd option. That’s what CP0 needs to be

Didn’t pound the ball
More versatile offense player
Was a deadeye shooter
More creative passer

And it’s not like CP3 was playing any defense in this series anyway…they hid him on PJ Tucker the whole time. Steve Nash couldn’t do that?:heh:

Nah. I just don’t see it. Steve nash isn’t gonna move the needle to stop Giannis from winning that series

I could be wrong :yeshrug:

This thread dumb af

Chris Paul led his team in scoring in 3 of these series :pachaha: y’all do not watch basketball just push narratives

Blake averaged 13 ppg & got herbed by Randolph all series cp3 had 36 in the close out game

the other series cp3 broke his hand(game 4) & Blake got injured literally 2 minutes later it was a wrap for the clippers after that

ayton played like a p*ssy last night throwing up shots all quick like he was scared ,devin “mamba” booker went 8-22 getting ripped lookin useless while cp3 led them in scoring.stupid thread premise

All this but it's just par for the course on The Coli.

Pressure got to him.

I argued for years here against people putting him in Isiah's league. Heard juelzing of epic proportions to explain the blown leads. Hopefully those guys give it a rest.

I am still waiting to hear wtf Isiah did that CP3 can't and hasn't done.

Isiah had a roster and coaching that CP3 has never had. Three players from that squad are in the HOF (Isiah, Dumars, Rodman) not even counting Laimbeer who was a 4x All-Star and Aguirre who as a 3x All-Star. Then you have Vinnie "Microwave" Johnson and James Edwards who could easily give you 14-15ppg too. That team was STACKED.

IT averaged just 18ppg in that first Finals run and was at best the 4th-most important defender on the court yet people in here talking like he was a tier above CP3 just cause his team was good.

27yo IT in 1989 postseason: 18-4-8 on 41/27/74 splits
36yo CP3 in 2021 postseason: 19-4-9 on 50/45/88 splits

And don't talk about clutch games either cause CP3 balled the fukk out in every one of the biggest games.
