I don't get the whole thing that recasting the role is disrespectful, or that it's acting like Chadwick never existed. If you ever watched Spartacus, no one forgot Andy Whitfield when he died of cancer. They ended the credits of the series finale of him saying I am Spartacus.

They act like the movie was called CHADWICK BOSEMAN and not Black Panther…

They definitely recasting after BP 2, I’m not buying shelving a pivotal character such as T’challa.

They said they made the decision in minutes. Which is proof its more of a knee jerk reaction. They didnt properly think about this.

Someone from the outside should have stepped in since they were so caught up with grief. Its one thing for the sequel, but to NEVER have T'Challa return? Thats extreme.

Minutes? Minutes? on a billion dollar franchise? Wow!

Now I fully understand the grief in that moment, but Coogler fukked himself here with that decision. T’ Challa is a core superhero (Iron man, Cap, Thor level) you can't just replace him with secondary characters and hope things work. The general audience is smart enough to know the reason a recast was needed and not question it,

And best believe the blame will be placed firmly at Cooglers door if this goes t*ts up.

They probably thought they could kill two birds with one stone a black female as Black Panther. Seems that decision was a mistake.

Where’s the brothers in this movie? No new black men casting tells me everything about this film.

shyt is sad bro, T’challa was the first person to step outside of strange’s portals in End Game. Had a great first impression in Civil War, and a billion dollar movie. Becoming one of the MCU’s major players, only to be thrown away smh. T’challa was the only MCU character they had alive to form the illuminati.

Apparently some of the illuminati show up in Dr Strange 2 namely

Professor X

I imagine T Challa would have led on this along with Dr Strange and Namor

These nikkas thinking this shyt gonna be like other superhero movies where it gets rebooted and everything is sweet. Naw. Unless they go into the multi-verse T'Challa is gone from this shyt for a very long fukking time. The MCU is not getting rebooted in the foreseeable future.

Which is why it was ultra shytty of them to try and reassure they wouldn't recast until they rebooted which at this point they won't do for years like at least 10+ years.

They know they fukked up on this. The Letita Wright fukkery is the cherry on the top of this pile of shyt they created for themselves.

They'll try and sweeten things with a 'fan favorite' as Black Panther which again shows they misunderstand why people want T'Challa to remain in the MCU.

Shuri was more important in Black Panther and Infinity War than T’Challa. Chief Scientist and created all of BP’s tech.

she also cured Buckey.

Y’all buggin

The MCU Shuri isn’t a warrior like the comic book version, she is only a teenager and Letitia is a nutcase.

And her story arc is more interesting.

She’s not a warrior but she fought in End Game… ok.

The majority of black people in this country are antivax. And so are a lot of Africans.

Furthermore, the threshold doesn’t call for the entire population to be vaccinated.

It’s like both antivax and provax sides have both lost their damn minds :snoop:

Covid for the most part has been contained for months. And it’s a real possibility that it will never be fully killed. New treatments will be developed and life will go on.
