I see people are mad because they have taken into account that you shouldn't make 90% of open shots and green releases.

The problem with 2k over the years is the nikkas who play it dont know how to play real ball

Same thing in Madden and MLB

So when they tweak the games to mirror real life, nikkas bytch and cry cause they cant score 150 points in a 6 minute game. never have to use subs or time outs...etc etc

You can't look it like that though, Steph Curry's release in real life is probably perfect on 90% of his shots, he still misses consecutive shots and misses more than he makes.

Having a nearly perfect release doesn't mean you should be knocking down shots left and right, the best shooters ever miss. Their last game was so fukked up in regards to shooting that it gave people a false sense of what should and shouldn't go in and now we're at a place where everyone thinks the shooting is broken cause they're missing contested layups or open threes.

this doesn't explain the layups and the free throws though...go watch chris smoove's videos; he's jacking easy ass layups and missing free throws like crazy

I understand the "sim" part of it, but I'm telling you this is a glitch...they fukked up the ball physics

Smoove made a playmaker/3 point shooter, his driving layup is 77 and dunk is 52....he should definitely miss in the paint.

I don't get the complaints, most of the people playing dont have the corny ass badges I'd assume, at which point the game will revert back to the joke that it is where everyone makes 85% of their shots.

I hope they fix the ability to preview user created shoes in my career, fix the forearm band where its closer to the elbow or just add a new arm band and fix amare and Chandler jersey on the '12 knicks

This is first 2k game I had in years and I think it's ok. People probably playing to be good and not playing to have fun. If shots aren't falling then go be productive

That's what I'm doing, I can't make shots consistently so I rebound, get assists,set screens,etc play an all around game so I can stack up vc and make a better player

More proof that reviewers and gaming journalism is a joke. Game is getting slammed everywhere. My friend just texted me saying he was selling this POS to gamestop and he doesn't care how little he gets back 2K, like COD, is a fukking joke and has been for years. Only difference is slave nikkas refuse to admit this

nikkas is slaves for liking 2K18 now I don't play Barbie doll mode so the game is straight to me. It's about time that 2K made a game for the sim ballers that put them on the map in the first place.

Amare and Chandler are wearing the wrong jersey numbers and they are missing bill walker, Josh harrellson and Jared Jefferies and some other players and replaced them with 3 41 year old SF with no backup C

Well they weren't irreplaceable to the team and you can at least change their numbers. Hopefully the 2008 Celtics have their bench now. Last year they had no big baby or Eddie house or James posey and there was no Rasheed Wallace. Let me know if you see anyone else missing.

It's a delay on the shooting meter but 2k stans say shyt like you shouldn't be using the meter anyway but if that's the case, why put it in the game lol

Eh, what I think is happening is that they introduced more realistic shooting percentages in line with the NBA, and now dudes are upset that they are making shots at the rate they'd actually go in at.


All I know is that in 2k17, you could make threes with guys that couldn't make threes in real life, and you'd be a threat with them because the shooting was broken.

Yup, this is the best the game is been in quite awhile IMO. The game controls better than ever, which is why I think ppl are having problems on defense. They're finally cutting down the reliance on animations and ppl don't know how to adjust.

And I'm praying that 2K doesn't cater to the online community wanting more makes. Got ppl out here that think green release should be an automatic make, which is a joke. Most ppl don't want a 'true' basketball game. They just want to get their MyPlayer up as quick as possible, and make every shot they shoot. But, they also wanna play perfect defense and get mad if someone makes their shots too. Talk about a contradiction. I personally LOVE the lowered shooting percentages. Feels more like basketball and less like NBA Jam now.

What 2K needs to do is just leave it alone, and make ppl adjust. Make these ppl actually learn how to play basketball, and establish this new way as the norm. Of course, the chances of that happening are pretty small, but we can hope.
