Is it me or is on ball defense not effective? I swear last year you at least had to work to get past a defender(aka me) Now dudes are just turboing and getting to the rim at will. They even score at way too,high a percentage if you switch to the rotating man and contest. Don't get me started on the absolutely trash post defense where you get bullied or sometimes clipped through. They did a complete 180 on defense this year because so many ppl bytched about 17

That's facts. Say what you want about 2K being greedy pigs, and they are, but no other game in the series is fukking with this gameplay wise.
Modes are on point. Graphics are on point. Gameplay is on point. Outside of the VC bullshyt what else is this game lacking? What other game in the series or basketball game period is seeing this?

The VC bullshyt is a pretty big deal because you can tell the game was designed around making things extra tedious/grindy to incentivize popping your wallet open for VC.
Getting rid of the difficulty modifier VC boost, making every thing from haircuts to cost VC, the inability to skip cutscenes in MyCareer, the slow pace you move around the neighborhood, etc.
This game legit has mechanics and game design I expect to see in free games like Warframe.

This community is God awful. Do people who buy sports game know the sports? Why am I running plays if nikkas can turbo and pass the ball down the court and score? nikkas be playing off ball too like huh? Scoring isn't the problem for me vs those off ball bums,but come on these dudes just pass and turbo and hope they score. I'm only playing pro am and private head to head games.

It’s truly awful. It’s either people just iso and turbo to the hoop praying it goes in (which 80% of the time it does) or hoping the over aggressive AI fouls. And then at the higher levels the 5 put cheese offense is in full effect. Step back cheese 3 is back also
Defense is more difficult to play but I dont have a problem with that. It's when I do play good defense and play the angles perfectly then body them with my chest but they just continue to hold turbo to get get around me. Im like what else you want me to do shyt. Every big is Shaq in the post to were they can back you down right undereneath the rim only a few guys have that kinda of strength in NBA history for every to be able to do that is mind boggling.
in like 20 some games i only got 1 win fukkin with these goof troop ass muthafukkas!
but to be "fair" everyones shyt seems to be lagged the fukk out!
when you see a guy you about to pass to do a full on sprint outa bounds...

@The G.O.D II @DetroitEWarren they didn’t make simulation sliders so everything at 50, so that plus the boosts they get are the reason why they shoot extremely well
I got curious as to what my max overall would be if I had the VC. I swear to god I've filled the cap breaker bar a bunch of times and if I maxed right now I'd be an 87 OVR

This bugged me more than anything. I don't have unlimited time to sit there and grind just to game. I want to get in, do some shyt, then get on with it.
Thanks to 2K's horrible understanding of what an open shot is, jump shots with a fast release will seemingly always dominate. I made a nice smooth shot, Westbrook/Curry/MJ @ 25% blend. Silky smooth. Take it in game and by the time he gets the shot off the defender is wearing his jersey too. Switched it up to Jump Shot 26/Durant/Curry I think with 30% blend and now I can get a shot off. It's smooth but the flow isn't as good. Always gotta game the game
