He answers but he limits our convos to under 5 mins. I really don't know what to say to him or how to get him to agree to meet with me. I know once we get face to face I can win him over. I don't want to beg him but even know he was wrong for cheating, I know I messed up too.

You can't get him to do anything. All you can do is ask. The rest is up to him, whether he acknowledges his wrongs or not. Just because you can see your errors doesn't mean he's interested in owning up to his. That's something you'll have to consider in the meantime.
