Essential Official Random Thoughts Thread (Ladies only)
Less than 2 weeks to go.
I feel so much better today. It's like a weight lifted off my shoulders.
I was contemplating female leadership today.
As a woman in a leadership position, I can say that I think where most women go wrong is they try to emulate men or their idea of men.
I find that acknowledging the fact that you're a woman actually is a better management strategy. Men follow women pretty well as long as you stay respectful, are fair and consistent and make yourself relatable; just not sexually available. Your energy shouldn't be too available either.
Women go wrong trying to be aggressive. Most men are not aggressive like that so idk why women do that. It's annoying. And most men will respond to aggression with aggression.
My team is mostly men and currently pushing over a hundred people.
My leadership rating has been over 95% for 3 years straight.
I don't pretend to be one of the guys. I position myself more as an advocate, or a mom like figure than a boss. That seems to be very effective.
Many have started calling me "Boss Lady." It's cute. I like it.
Back to highlighting the differences, I will do things like ask them to lift things for me or directly tell them that they are physically more capable than I am. Now I don't even ask, they just help me with any little task they can.
I also cover up or over look their BS if it suits me.

My team fukked up today...like bad. Nothing I couldn't fixed but damn. I fixed like 5 major issues in 1 hour but they just can't stay organized in the most simplistic system.
