Old heads, was '98 DMX as big as '05 Jeezy, '15 Future, or '03 50 Cent?

It's crazy but looking back all these dudes seem like flash in the pans compared to Future.:wow:
Future only solo hit is mask off
50 has real hits that's why he's still selling out arenas .
Party up > jeezy whole career.
Nelly was also huge . I remember in middle school everyone was walking around with band aids on their face. Then in high school everyone had g unit sneakers. Yeah the snow man shirts were popping in the hood. Nelly and 50 had everyone in America singing about street sweepers and what up cuz

Bruh sales are sales. Jeezy album sold very well. Doesn't change the fact that X sold more albums... A LOT more.

Both albums went platinum in less than a month of release.
Eras matter lol

Its even a big difference from 50 03 to 50 2005. 50 sold over a million first week. But after that i never so many bootlegs of a album in my life. He sold 5 but that shyt should went diamond.

Tech got so much better in thr late 00s. We can rip entire albums in minutes. shyt became harder to sell records because illegal downloads

1.50

2.Jeezy
3. DMX

If we're talking about debuts Future shouldn't even be in the convo, cuz he came out 2012 not 2015 and his best year was 2017 commercially

Fighting proxy wars for Hov ? :mjlol:

You must have nightmares about 98 X :laff:
Huh

Btw Jay was bigger than x.

X album came out in may sold 2 mill by the end of year

Jay album came out in September and sold 3 mill by December. Not to mention 5 straight weeks at number 1

Jay out sold both x albums in only 4 months

Jay was still selling over100k 2 months after the album dropped

No Limit run overshadowed everything else in that 98 timeframe where I was at. I actually felt and heard 50 and Jeezy impact. 50 was able to penetrate the south like no other NY rapper.

X was huge but 50s debut sold as much as his first 3 albums that all came out within a year.

Ironic that they both flamed out in 3 years.

Yes the fukk he was
DMX was going gold in his first week during the time when Britney Spears, NSYNC and BSB were on top, when people actually went to the stores to purchase albums and pop stars were running the game. He was charting...

Jeezy was selling a measly 170k back when the SOUTH was running shyt. T.I. and Luda were selling 300k, 500k, respectively. Jeezy wasn't even the biggest of his region. That nikka was NEVER running shyt. He was NOT touching DMX. AT ALL.

That 2nd album impact was a disappointment though
