Need some outside perspective on a weird scenario I got going on.

My homeboy, who's this new age hella liberal open minded type dude, was together with this chick for like a year. They broke up, but now they're in this weird open relationship thing where they give each other space and let each other talk to other people while being "together". Homie had a party like a month ago and I ended up talking to the chick and we vibed really well, she asked me for my number straight up in front of him too...felt awkward giving it to her but it's whatever. She's really cool, smart, attractive, cultured, everything I look for in a chick, but that open relationship shyt has me turned off.

I thought nothing of it and never really had her on my radar because of their weird situation. This past month she's been hitting me up trying to get me to come to some parties that my homie is throwing, obviously wanting to have a reason to come kick it with me again without blatantly asking. The past two I said maybe, with no intentions of actually showing up and doing anything with her. She hit me up again this week telling me to come through this weekend, no excuses this time, and I was like aight sure I'll def roll through.

Would it be some wack shyt for me to get at her? I know my homeboy fukks with other chicks besides her, so I'm not sure if she's just trying to use me to make him jealous or if it's for real. She can fukk with any dude that she wants out there...why choose one of "boyfriend"'s friends? What do y'all think about this?

Even if they are in an 'open relationship', it's probably at her behest, and he'll be very mad if one of his boys is knocking down his woman. Too many women out there to lose one of your boys over or create an awkward scene over.
