Human indecency and dysfunction is celebrated while decency and normalcy is shamed and attacked in more ways than one. Today's society is ultimately a test of your moral character because it seems easy to abandon your morals and 'join in on the party', but ultimately, that's a losing proposition.

It is extremely easy to abandon your morals and join in on the party. It is only when you surround yourself with people who are similar to you that you get to appreciate the insanity of it all. So watch what types of people you hang around with or else indecency will quickly become the new normal. I've become so cynical that any time I meet people who are not indulging in all the evils dominating today's society I question myself and my own assumptions. But why should I need to question myself when I meet an upstanding individual? That should be the default and anything deviating from that should be criticized. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the days when I was ignorant and wore rose tinted glasses.
That is true. I know wholeheartedly that I have failed this test not necessarily because I wanted to but merely out of frustration because I encountered a number of people who tried to pull bullshyt when I carried myself as decent human being under the assumption that I was weak when they was not the case. In general, people do not attempt to pull that tshyt with the people who don't give damn about decency and that is very telling when you look at how dysfunctional our society is.
