I'm going through something similar but shes like you and I'm like the girl you're talking about. I can't seem to pull out of it and I'm stuck in this purgatory of moving on and shooting my shot. I don't even think I like her and I pretty sure she doesnt like me like that either.
I need an example lol... I used to be heavy for the last couple of years so idk how to differentiate the looks 
the way u dress alone can make a dime blush. they feel conscious if u dress better than them especially when ur on a date with them.
if u know u dressed well (i.e. you've been complimented earlier when u had the same outfit on), and then u find some other woman checking u out, chances are pretty good she wants u. so u need to swoop in on her.
and dressing good doesn't have to be doing anything extra. if u have a nice physic and you wear clothes that are fitted, women will look at u much the same way men look at women with big butts.

Interesting scale I think guys should push for 7 and up to be happy in life. If you fall below that to many times than you will have to commit or lie to get to many women. I fluctuate interesting enough based on the season. Because I'm a big guy in the winter in get a lot of 8 and 9 but summer it's 6 and 7. I many get some 10s every here and there.

Man I'm having a similar epiphany now.
Was dating the best looking girl in the world earlier this year.
It fizzled out and I was down about it for the past few months.
I was contemplating making my way back into her life but then I met another (much much much less attractive) girl but she has depth and we vibe on a whole different level.
It was actually weird cause I was out with the new chick on Sunday and out of nowhere the old chick called me while we were at dinner. This was after having no contact for the last 5 months. And for the longest time I've been going over scenarios in my head of what I would say / how I would act etc... if I ever crossed paths with the old chick again. But when she called, I just sent it to voicemail. Kinda surprised how apathetic I felt to it, tbh because I was damn near obsessed with this chick for a couple years.
Not saying I wouldn't have liked to have ended up with her, but as you said, I'm just glad that it doesn't hurt anymore.

I just dropped this in the thread with the meme about not asking a girl if she's single, just doing sucka shyt and "just let her decide". Foh, we don't get stored as "Free weed" or "Free lunch" over here.
But I just wanted to share or discuss an advanced level approach I been using for a year now (only 22) without much fail...
When approaching females I never ask if they have a boyfriend/man, I don't even ask if they're single, here's my approach (reposted):
I always push up on any female as if they don't have a boyfriend..... sometimes I won't ever ask, my game is different so I assume single until proven taken. I'll hit a shorty like " I KNOW you gotta be single, baby girl whats ya number", most, even if they have a bf will humor you and be like why? Now you got em curious and this where you drop some reverse psychology with ya answer using her looks as the reason. (Mines is usually the same; girl with ya looks I know the average nikka be like
when you leave his presence, always texting ya phone, Facetiming you, prob being way too clingy. I doubt few can ascend past the beauty and find out what ya mind about, what goals you have.... or some variation)No matter what you say, as long as its said with confidence and full belief, she'll eat it up, especially if she is single. Win/win cause if she's single you're telling her off the bat what you're not gonna do (be clingy and allat) and also subtly acknowledging her beauty w/o too much validation cause you brush it off saying it would be the reason she's single, up until now. If she's taken, nothing lost. Slight compliment to her, prob got a laugh if ya delivery was on point so at least you feel good about the approach.
Before this i would get rejected more (And women aren't always rejecting you, rather your approach) but I'm like undefeated using this, minus one older woman who was so shocked I couldn't imagine her with a s/o.... like bytch why would I be trying to
