I always go back to (1) what's your objective? and (2) what's the minimum amount of steps that have to happen to get there?
Example: Random chick at the grocery
Objective: Smash
Minimum Steps: 1.Break the ice; 2. Introduce yourself; 3. Ask her out; 4. be sensual at yalls outing (to set the mood); 5. invite her to the crib; 6. smash lol.
Now depending on the situation, there may be more things you have to maneuver in-between, but as long as you know what you need to do next, you can assess how important all the extra stuff like texting is.
i.e. some girls like sexting and sending u pics (and receiving pics). If she doing that, then you may not need a formal outing (4), just set the mood with the texting, then tell her to come to the crib and get the pipe lol. Basically if i'm texting its to help me get to the next step, and not to talk just for talks sake
