edit: since I know neggas gonna be like what your dumb ass do ol girl was posed to link with me tonight. she texted me today and said she sincerely wants to see me but has to have mommy time. Okay cool, I'm like cool kid should come first np lets re schedule. she goes totally and says MAYBE sunday. I tell her I try to stay away from maybes, I like definite dates. She then says she doesn't know because she has plans with a friend but shes flaky so she doesn't know if she will show or not. Now....this is where I fukked up because I should have just said "okay well, have fun with your friend if you do hit me up when you have a definite time youre free" instead in my amazing display of hubris I said paraphrased "that sounds fukked. I want to see you but if its gonna be dependent on flakes, I respect myself too much to go along. If you not feeling it thats cool

honestly I was doing the corey wayne shyt with the definite date thing instead of a maybe date. but I put too much effort into the response and showed how much it irritated me that she was predicating my worthiness over her flaky friend. so I did get annoyed real talk. like if she just said maybe and I don't know or w/e I would have left it alone but the actual reason was so disrespectful to me. i probs overreacted but if me saying I respect myself too much to be holding up my sunday night over what her friend does made her do a complete 180 that shyt wasn't gonna be anything beyond some ass anyway. This was my first attempt dealing with a woman with kids and I don't think I will try a second time.

Also I don't get brehs in here saying I seem desperate when wouldn't the desperate thing be to just be like yeah girl let me know on sunday I'll be waiting by my phone for that text instead of naw not gonna work make a time that works for you even if its like a week from now. Never make the "definite date" a big deal. Make it about coffee, or a slice of pizza, basically, introduce food but on the small scale. It shows you're not putting importance on just the date, and you're expecting to walk around. You want implied events, not "camps". You never want to cement the date, you want to end up somewhere, not be trapped at some movie or a restaurant. This also means you can walk away from a situation easily.

While you can find plenty of my messages on here, that agree with your point entirely, one still needs to sharpen their sword. Bashing around a blunt sword might get you some kills, but when you can slice through anything like a knife through butter, even the engages wherein you "lose" leave your prey with a lasting impression.

thats not what I meant by definite. it literal means what it says. definite as in a defined time and place. not some well maybe I'm free on thursday I'll let you know so you can let me string you along for a bit. Either figure out your schedule and get back to me with a actual time or move along. Its 170ish hours in a week. you can't come up with several you are for sure free? exactly. no ones that busy. This at least weeds out how much importance she places on actually seeing you. I don't see the problem with it.
