I'm in IT and some of these companies want you to have all the top level certs in the world (like the CCIE which is such hard qualification to achieve the majority of network engineering experts can't even pass it) and barely paying above £40,000 which is ridiculous. What I'm paying for for my flat - and trust me, my rent is cheap compared to what most people are paying - I could easily have a nice house in Medellin.

Lately I have been considering my options. I would have chose Jamaica but it's just as expensive and they need to do something about the crimewave and the targeting of returnees. Maybe one day cos I still love it there.

And then the person I was with saying that’s pretty good as most grads and even professionals take them awhile to see that


Cops over here in Toronto get paid double that on average


Don’t even think there is a nurse taking home less than 65,000 in Canada which is around 40k pounds

Cop salaries are notoriously low all around the world. Most people start off as community support officers which pay even less.

What nurses are paid is disgusting. For all those hours and stress the salaries should be way way more.

Travelling and meeting people is so fun and one of the most underrated aspects of travelling

Especially with social media, whatsapp it’s so easy to stay in touch. I’ve met great people on my last two vacations in Lagos and now london. I still talk to a bunch of women I met down in Lagos and Uber drivers and security guards till this day even hung out with a few of the women I met when they ended up in Toronto .
