she changed her profile photo on whatsapp to her and her (old) new nikka. not gon lie, i felt it in my chest initially, but the feeling subsided after 10 minutes or so. the cocktail of emotions (anger, longing, embarrassment and regret) that I spent months cycling though during the end of our last rodeo just, wasn't really... there.

That season was one of the realest things I’ve seen on TV regarding black men, modern dating and careers.

shyt mirrored so many events in my life it was scary. Divorcing and trying to find myself again worrying if I’m black enough, being intrigued then disappointed in women.

I would say throughout my 20s. I was always a late bloomer, so I would sort of fall into these situations without taking the lead and understanding what I wanted. I thought the “least” resistance was the right path, but it’s not, cause you end up “settling”, when you know you want more.

From building myself, having Invisalign, gym, learning a new language, traveling, doing out of the box activities really helped. Having two jobs with ACTUAL purpose and meaning as well. Having a side passion that keeps you busy. Women seeing you light up with confidence when you talk about your life. Seeing the response from women who I never thought would give me a shot. It was pretty eye opening and sort gave me additional boost on top of the worth I already had.

big facts. i used to be convinced that i was this magnetic loverboy since i never really "tried" with with women, but by outward appearances, seemed to do well with them.

but the truth is that i lacked the courage and knowledge of self to actively pursue what i really wanted, what i really deserved. it's the reason why up until now, i've only ever been in situations with low-vibration females. society implicitly teaches men to have a "take/accept whatever you can get" attitude and not hold women to any real standard but once i began to elevate myself, my time and energy became much more valuable commodities that i no longer freely give "just because".

she's obv deleted now, but i definitely needed to see that. i can now confidently move onward and upward knowing that i have nothing but complete apathy towards her.

i literally went through the exact same thing, with this exact same chick, almost a year ago exactly (i know, i know ) and back then, it really burnt me the fukk up. it feels great now to be on the other side of that.
