I feel like this video could make a better case for Ghostface rather than Redman.

That being said, I have no problem with this. Red is in my Top 15. Has a great discography (1st 4 albums all arguable classics). Plus he gave Eminem & Ludacris a style for them to run with

I think they plan on doing this type of video for different rappers.

I still think Redman was ideal for this vid...issue with Ghost is that he's part of a group so it's a little harder, but his solo career is damn near unmatchable so he'd be a great selection. Ghost and Red are 2 and 3 on my all-time list anyway respectively.

If anything that helps Ghost's case though. Because he has a great career as a group rapper for 1 of the GOAT groups (a driving force too) plus had a great solo career. How many rappers can say that?

Plus he not only has the longevity that Red is credited, but the consistency to go along with it.

I just feel a better case could be mad for Ghost but I'm a big fan of Doc so I have no quarrels with this video :ohwelp:

I guess they're talking with regards to official studio albums, so only 2

Biggie's outta my conversation for that very reason...kinda like he entered the NBA for a few years and won 1 MVP in 3 seasons of play and was top 3 player in the other two seasons but then retired to a career ending injury.

Forget the songs/catalogue. He wasn't in the rap game long at all. Surely those with longevity should be rewarded more? Obviously Biggie's case was unfortunate, but
:yeshrug:

Redman is still rapping his ass off and was producing at that elite level from 1992, before a lot of peoples' favourite rappers. Just an argument though.
So basically Biggie is Derrick Rose?

If we're talking GOAT RAPPERS ..

Reds as good as anyone .. Biggie .. Nas .. Face .. Slick Rick .. Em (the old Em) .. Rakim .. And I think Sean Price should be mentioned here too, dude doesn't get enough props .. Gotta throw Cube in here too ..

For me personally all those dudes above can rhyme their asses off and are untouchable on the mic. Redman included.

If you talking GOAT contendership then really longevity has to be a major factor and IMO this is why Biggie is the greatest alongside Pac because he was only here to put out 2 albums and there's never been anyone as nice as BIG and I don't think there ever will be

But back to Red,he definitely deserves to be in any debate for the GOAT because he's without question in that top tier ..

He's the last of a dying breed of rappers, they don't make em like Red no more ..

but if longevity is a major factor and Biggie's career is short-lived, how can he be a GOAT according to you? unless I read what you said incorrectly.

Agree with the rest bro.

Definitely a better MC...but Ghost's catalogue is Top 5-10 to me so in that aspect he's better than Reggie

OB4CL, Ironman, Supreme, Bulletproof, Pretty Toney, Fishscale >

better MC is TOUGH lol....they are both supremely talented on the mic and with the pen game

I think Redman might be the most talented rapper ever, so that's saying something

but the catalogue is definitely advantage Ghost, who released nothing but 4 mics and higher material between 1996 and 2006, and that's just his solo shyt not taking into account the Wu group stuff and Cuban Linx

and even after that he released some dope ass shyt like More Fish, Big Doe Rehab and the Twelve Reasons to Die series

Cause even tho it sounds backwards this is why for me BIG is the GOAT because even with this 'rule' about longevity BIG is an exeption to that. Even with his short lived career I just can't put anyone else at the number 1 spot in front of him.

And another great thread btw bro :salute:

ah I feel you

literally the only way a dude with two albums could make a GOAT list is if he went 2/2 in the fashion Biggie did, and he did it. I personally discriminate against him for that reason so he doesn't make my lists, but if I were to pick any rapper from the group of like Big L, Pun, Biggie and so on with short-lived careers, Biggie would be my choice for sure. Most talented and his posthumous catalogue is testament to the work he did in his short time.

and thanks man, much love
:myman:
