I've listened to his cousin Tame One way more.

I think both of those artifacts albums were better than any redman album:yeshrug:

Been one of my fav/top 5 for over 20 years. First 4-5 albums all heat. New shyt all heat. Regularly kills any guest spot, kills Mef every time. Inspired Em, Source Rookie of the year in like 92. BIG def jacked a bit of Red early on. He's legit. A legend in the hood like Acura!!

#3 or #4 for me so gotta be a lot the put him @ #1
Muddy Waters is damn near perfect & his first 2 weren't far off either. (Prefer Dare Iz A Darkside to W?TA tho)
I fukked with Docs the Name 2000 too :yeshrug:Solid LP.

Guess you could call it the OG Chronic hah

Dre kinda used those samples to create g-funk out the West Coast but E Dub and Redman pretty much kept the samples true to their p-funk roots. So there are two divergences in that sense. That's why even tho Redman from the East he has some of the best sounding albums that age more gracefully than say a traditional boom bap one.

highkey eric sermon is my favorite producer of all time

im glad he doesnt get credit like that cause it keeps all those epmd beats and redman joints to myself
I grew up on all of that so it makes me not feel other shyt as much cause his beats had flavor, they always had perfect basslines
and they just pocket so deep to spit to. Like Cosmic slop ... that shyt is wild, you can go on and on.

Redman has an introspective song over the "Lost Ones" beat too nobody has mentioned that yet
