Settle this debate for me. Was Cam'ron ever a superstar?

Cam's class is Biggie, Big Pun, Jay-Z, Ma$e, Big L, Nas.

Cam has discography full of average albums. There are glimpses throughout his career of greatness. His work with COC, joints with the diplomats, his movie roll in Paid In Full. I can't say Jay blackballed him when he's been in countless interviews giving Jay and even Nas now props.

Cam was Cam's own worst enemy. Jay didn't make him answer anderson cooper like that on 60mins.

Jay didn't order Tru Life to punch him

Jay didn't get his mom sick

Jay didn't convince Jim Jones & Juelz to try and partner with 50

Giving jay props for being a good rapper and dope business man has nothing to do with what jay did when cam was on the roc...jay and cam having had issues for over 20 years that go beyond music..Cam giving him credit is him being honest...Jay is the real hater because of his insecurities.....Because JAY-Z would never give credit to cam for shytting on him on wax....

Everything you mentioned happened at the point when cam pretty much became bitter about the game...

You seem to be missing the point of the thread - which is whether Cam is a superstar - and if we are comparing Wu than whether they were superstars. You are focused on whether Wu were getting play in your neighborhood - I guess trying to make the point that they weren't getting love in the hood nationwide. Being a superstar has nothing to do with that. To be a superstar you've gotta sell to whites, the burbs and have name recognition worldwide.

Actually, yes the Wu was. Niccas may not had been "listening" to the Wutang on the block, yet you couldn't deny the staying power.
