I said NOTHING about who was or wasnt a rap superstar in that era:ufdup:

I said Dipset was MUCH bigger in Cleveland than Wu-Tang and wasnt nobody bumping no fukking dustheads trying to kick knowledge down the block. Who are you to tell me about my city or state?:what:

:camby:

No Limit, Cash Money, Three 6 Mafia, Ruff Ryders, Rocafella, G-Unit, Dipset, Swisha House >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wu-Tang in Cleveland and the rest of Ohio just like @NatiboyB said:pacspit:

those groups you listed all got on, from Wu tang being superstars and singlehandidly changing the admin landscape of rap.
that directly set the industry up.
To sign everyone of those acts you listed.
if not for Wu,....
none of those groups would have had a chance to draw, or get signed, period.

This is ridiculous.

How a nikka from OUTSIDE my city, gonna tell me what we was playing on 105 and St Clair? What they was playing on Superior? What they was playing on Harvard, Kinsman, 131st, 116th? 55th & union? In Garden Valley or Morris Black?:snoop:

Gtfoh:camby:

In MY city, Camron and Dipset were much bigger stars than Wu Tang was. They are "Hood Superstars". They may have not have achieved as much mainstread success as The Wu, but Dipset got way more love here than them.....in the hood AND in the suburbs.

Hell, Chamillionaire back in the day got WAY more love than Wu Tang when he dropped Mixtape Messiah. DSR, Lil Flip, Swisha House, Chamillionaire, Razaq, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Slim Thug all got much more love in Cleveland than fukking Wu-Tang:ufdup:

i think some of you aren't really looking at this objectively. There was a TIME PERIOD where cam was indeed a superstar. It might've been shorter than leprechauns but Cam and the dip set had shyt on LOCK for a minute, and this is coming from someone whose NEVER been a cam'ron fan and thinks he's borderline mediocre as a rapper. He's not a LEGEND in the way Jay or Nas is (which is another stratosphere). But he briefly attained superstar status.

Do you consider Jim Jones or Juelz superstars too:patrice:?If Cam was a superstar to you then why not them? Juelz had hits and was dropping tracks that was supposed to lead up to a collabo album with the biggest rapper on the planet at the time....and Jim Jones "Ballin" was probably the biggest song in rap since In Da Club dropped and he influenced nikkas wardrobes just like Cam did:scusthov:...and people considered it to be "dressing like Jim Jones meaning people knew who that nikka was:manny:..whats the criteria you using that makes u consider Cam a superstar:patrice:

Gawd damn goodie mob got more hits than wutang.

nikkas in the streets wasn't fukking with them..I'll admit whites and Asians and east coast blacks are who made them superstars otherwise it was just a crew of dust heads who weren't succesful until they went solo and even than it's varying levels...shyt one of em still drives a cab,

you still doing alot of duckin-n-dodgin.

do you think that at any point in the mid-90s, nas couldve headlined or at least co-headlined a national tour. and im very aware of the components that went into that. you dont know me ak.

im asking you, do you think nas was ever popular enough to pull that off. and you know he wasnt. thats why you keep talking around the point just to save face. sure theres artists that couldve went out, but didnt for various reasons. but nas aint one of em.

yea, bone got keys to the city, and did all that stuff cuz they were superstars. nas wasnt. thanks for proving my point.

and lol @ the preakness. how many of the people at the preakness give a f*ck about nas? i bet half of them didnt even know who he was until he took the stage.

nikka, NAS was the headliner at every show he no-showed in chicago alone.
during and after almost a full decade after illmatic.
so, what are you saying.
in o1, i was with the group who at the time were underbilled on the NAS card. When, he finally did show up, and cut it short because it was so horrible and he had a booty shake contest.
when, the group i was the roadie for before i was a stage act.
outshined NAS, and they were voted the best group in Chicago, previously and in xxl.
yet, and still nas packed houses in any venue as a headliner.
with the true stigma of being a no show.
the crowd either got a consolation, or no show.
when, common debuts bytch in too, to soothe the no show of NAS at depaul.
NAS, was the headliner over souls , AZ, scarface and common was not slated to perform at all.
it just so happens common took over hosting and performing duties.
to make up for the headliner nas's no show.
NAS, was the headliner over close to plat debut artist.
turned sellouts souls of mischief, who bottomed out at 750k.
back when few went plat, period.
when, illmatic suffered dismal sales by sales spike standards.
common was not even on the bill.
NAS headlined over AZ.
nas's higher selling contemporary, and scarface, as well.
a scarface, who was a multi-plat artist on numeprus projects at the time, easy.

so, what are you saying about NAS's drawing power.
stop trying to ask loaded bullshyt tongue in cheek questions, too.
all because you are fukking wrong.
plus, offkey about another era and making another appearance as the incorrect reoccurring jackass.
