His press secretary said he's referring to future SNAP. Who knows. Guess we'll see.
we'll definitely see.

so what are the facts?I'm getting real sick of these red hats on social media constantly arguing that the democrats are to blame for the continued shut down. then when I give a rebuttal with the actual facts
the Dems lost in november. if protecting the ACA was so important, they shouldn't have fukked up the 2024 nomination/election so badlyhave you seen the new ACA plan premiums?so what are the facts?
the Republican CR on the table funds food stamps, and Republicans don't have any obligation to fund the ACA at the level the democrats wantthe Dems lost in november. if protecting the ACA was so important, they shouldn't have fukked up the 2024 nomination/election so badly
so the Dems are using the shutdown to fight for more ACA money, and that's fine, but it IS their shutdown. 52/53 Republicans voted to open the government. 3/47 Democrats voted to open it.

yes, and they're doing that by shutting down the governmenthave you seen the new ACA plan premiums?
fukk dat. Stand on the side of the common man, not corps.![]()

it's not the Dems shutdown.yes, and they're doing that by shutting down the government
it's fine if you like the reason. i agree with it. but you can't then deny that it's the Dems' shutdown; that doesn't make any sense

The people had the chance to save themselves last November but went another route. A lot of people only learn when they feel pain and sometimes even that is not guaranteed. My thing is that sometimes to save people, you have to make tough choices and sacrifices, even if it comes at a cost. You can either stand by and watch people suffer, or you can do something that will likely cost you, but it's the chance you take to save people.
We know it's Trump and the GOP's issue but they don't care. They have no conscience, compassion, or qualms in seeing the damage they're doing, so people going through hardships due to the shutdown don't resonate with them.
It's not the Democrats' fault at all for what's happening, but I just don't think it's wise to sit on your hands as people suffer from a food crisis, potentially a home/shelter crisis, among other issues, even though the reason for doing so has merit. Yes, people will be upset that you folded, but at the same time, they'll see that you did it for a greater reason, to prevent people from suffering any longer.
At the beginning of the shutdown, when things weren't so bad, the Democrats' position of standing still made sense, but as days and weeks have gone by with no signs of resolution anywhere, and people are starting to feel the pain, holding out longer is risky for millions of people's livelihoods and well-being. It was a noble act but at this stage of the shutdown, they may need to rethink their strategy.
it's not the Dems shutdown.
that's just what they want you to believe.
not fallin for it and any reasonable person isn't.
can't beat bullies by continuing to give in. nope.
you have to make up your mindand what about the SNAP funding? they could literally fund it now with their emergency funds but told everyone to fukk off in order to further their own agenda.

they are not shuttin down the government.you have to make up your mind
the Dems are fighting the Republicans by shutting down the government. that is what's happening. you can't both credit Dems for fighting Republicans, but weirdly deny.....how they're doing it![]()
that's not what the votes on the Senate floor saythey are not shuttin down the government.

no they didn't. Dems had absolutely no power over that bill, just like the Republicans had zero power to stop Biden's big bills in 2021They budged on that Big Bullshyt Bill and got hammered so no more caving in.
yeah, i guess we'll see what happens. really shouldn't have run Biden in 2024 if that was the goalReplace the ACA subsidies so families aren't getting hammered with these ridiculously jacked up health care premiums and I'm sure the Dems will agree to listen in good faith on their end.

i'm not mad at that. i actually want the Epstein thing pushed as close to the 2026 midterm as possibleand let's not forget that the other purpose of the shutdown is to for mike johnson to continue to refuse to swear in the new congresswoman that would literally be the deciding vote that'd release the epstein files as well. mike johnson is singlehandley protecting a prolific pedophile ring, while lying to the public that he's doing no such thing.
why get it out of the way now?
