Is Daz a trap producer?
Ahh.
So its all rap music of course. Then u break it down to gangster rap, then u break that down again into production style(g funk, trap etc..) makes sense

As far as drums, it seems like trap music kind of useses boom bap patterns, only difference is they add 808s and add extra drums and snares
It's an old school rap sound that was done before producers started sampling records for kicks & snares or better equipment like the MPC, and used the roland TR-808 drum kit. That's why when I hear it I can't stop thinking it's an old school sound that is more popular now.
Not neccesarily. But daz did make that track "my life" on TI's trap music.

Followed by ugk....

You could take most (if not all) of the beasts on Criminal Minded, slow 'em down about 5 bpm, and put 'em on albums today and people prolly couldn't tell the difference...
