If you do it, that's fine. Coming down in a controlled manner with a heavy weight isn't easy. If the barbell comes down hard on your spine, you could compress a disk. More a safety issue than biomechanics issue.

why, i do mine behind the neck, wldnt doin it in front be a incline press and target the pecs??
