I don't think it's a diss. He's saying 50 is looked at more of this juggernaut because he's from NY whereas Nelly is just seen as a Pop rapper.
Well it’s fukking true. Outside of Nelly’s first album. That’s typically what he is and it’s no diss. 50 had the fukkin streets and mixtape game on lock. AND he had the mainstream on lock. On top of that. The nikka’s ENTIRE album was gettin burn on the radio. Not just singles. It’s a fukkin dumb ass comparison honestly.

Yes....because Nelly has classic, legendary mixtapes that were so huge and in demand that he was able to tour the country off of them before securing the record deal...just off of mixtapes. And Nelly has 3 artists that were signed to him that each sold at least a million records on their solos.

See, this is why trying to force equivalencies is so stupid to me, lol, that shyt never really equates.
EXACTLY.

Being Black and Southern, it should be obvious why:

1) Discrimination just for being Black in The South, so you when people who look like you make fun of how you talk and look, yeah it will make you feel a type of way

2) East Coast cats who have no sense of history talk down on The South

We aren't "step-children". Hip Hop may not have started in The South, but it definitely gets its roots from The South.
Man. Look. EVERY region has bias. Honestly I got family all thru the south and y’all fukkin more bias than US at this point. We play literally everything. And always have. Even in the 90s when CERTAIN DJ’s would hate. But the people fukked wit everything. Y’all got sensitive about getting booed. My nikka. This NYC. Home of the APOLLO. We boo EVERYTHING. We boo OUR OWN. Y’all get sensitive as fukk about some shyt that we used to. That’s all it is.

Only the West and the South really care about that regional shyt if you really think about. Who from NY is on that "The East Coast runnin this shyt! I do this shyt for the East Coast!"

:russ:, we never been on that corny shyt. Look at what you said just now, lol, it's like all the regional pride shyt is rooted in jealously and envy towards NY.

You're proving T.i.'s point. If Nelly was from NYC and 50 was from a small overlooked town in Missouri, all those questions you're asking would have different answers.
No. Son Nelly didn’t even market himself as an emcee like that. And it wasn’t like he was killin bars like Bone Thugs. Which everyone in NYC LOVED by the way.

U posting rappers making records. What the fukk about “Welcome To Atlanta” and “To Live And Die in LA” etc etc. People on the STREETS wasn’t on that bullshyt. Only people who try to tell people who NYC is is people NOT from NYC. Most thing people had an issue with was NYC rappers trying to sound like they from somewhere else. When I listen to a New York rapper. I wanna hear NY. When I listen to an ATL rapper. I wanna hear ATL. Etc etc. Even bum ass Jay Elect tried to send a shot yet he don’t sound ANYTHING like he from New Orleans and got hot on the back of the East Coast.

You can say the same exact thing about 50.

No. 50 was runnin wit Nas at one point. Killin mixtapes and all that BEFORE he blew up. nikka was hot on the streets. It’s a dumb comparison. Someone mentioned Ja Rule. And that’s a better comparison. Even tho Ja gets shytted on far worse than Nelly and Ja is a better emcee.
