The thread is about people who use texting as a primary form of communication but try to appear busy by texting back late on purpose, not about what your primary form of phone communication is and why you prefer it.

I keep texting to a bare minimum, get to the point and get it across. I hate talking on the phone, too. If you want to have a conversation, let's meet somewhere face to face. All this extra petty shyt, people comparing likes, follows, and text times is completely foreign to me.

This. If I give you my number it's because I want to TALK on the phone, not text. If you're a grown man and texting me you've pretty much lost, espcially with that annoying ass 'text speak.' Also, my phone is not tied to my hip. When I'm home my phone stays in one place no matter where I am, and I only rush to it when it rings. I don't consider texts important or urgent so they can wait.

Grown ass man texting me full on conversations... Bye! You can't possibly be that interested in me if you're texting me instead if calling.

I don't count it either, it shows the time she sent the text. Even when women would take their time responding to my text, I would respond immediately. And they would still take their time responding to me. To eventually I said fukk it and take my time replying or throw her into the bushes.

The problem is everybody is trying to run some kind of 'game' and make themselves look like someone they are not, which is this super-in-demand, constantly busy superstar who is blessing you with a morsel of their time. From how I see it, its more of a generational thing.

Most of the people who prefer vocal talk are 80s babies, cause when they started their stage of talking to opposite genders during their adolescence-preteen years, it was the 90s and that's all there was.

90s babies had Nokia phones and broadband internet during this same point in our lives, so the indirect method of talking was a bit more common, thus why its not as weird to have a conversation through text.

2000s babies can have whole convos with nothing but emojis. Heart, Moon, eggplant, smiley face and you just setup a midnight booty call.

I was dating a girl who did this shyt periodically. I'v known her for years so I know she never misses a text. She wanted me to help her workout one weekend so I hit her up and she responds about 15 minutes before i supposed to pick her up.. that's a violation in my book. I never responded to her.. I tell her the next day she needs to respect my time and respond in a timely manner. Her response was "how you gonna tell me how to respond to a text?".. This is a 24 year old woman.

Charge her difficult ass to the game.
