I don’t know what their exact money is, but heading into next year, you have to think they’ll be free of PJ, EG, Dipo, Exum, and Kurucs. That’s enough for a max and a second tier person. Wall and Wood will be (and should be) the only bigger contracts on the table heading into the offseason.

It’s an unbelievable steal of a deal and the Rockets need to do everything they can to maximize it, and that should either be putting another athletic guy next to him (Collins or somebody similar), or love Wood to the 4 and have an actual center come in instead of fukking PJ undersized rotating between the 4 and 5.

Miami is playing good defense since the 2nd quarter but I thought Silas would have the Rockets running more dribble hand offs, cuts, back doors and running actual plays. All this PnR is what D'Antoni's Rockets was doing before Harden went iso heavy.

You have to have a player with supreme handles, shooting from three, driving ability, great vision and passing ability to run PnR's the whole game and for it to be successful. Offense has to get better.

Rockets finally got multiple ballhandlers for the open court with athleticism, that can shoot the 3 and can defend. This is a great squad assembled by the new GM. I would only ask for one more emergency big off the bench.

They cut it to 5 and then completely let it get out of hand. For one thing, this was a game where either Cousins or Spalding should’ve been on the floor at all times. At one point, Spalding was contesting shots and making it difficult, then PJ and Tate were brought in and started getting killed on the boards. When stuff like that happens, it truly makes me think they’re tanking under the guise of being scrappy and competing.
