Wall is happy partying in Houston getting 44 million a year while doing nothing. Hell anyone would. And Silver won't step on an owners toes if this is what all parties want.

I don't even think Wall has been in Houston. I'm pretty sure he's been working out in NC :yeshrug:

This isn't about money. He really wanted to play for the Lakers this year.

nbapa can’t do anything if he wants out he could accept a buyout or his agent could have found a trade. Otherwise he can sit there and get his full pay. Or play backup minutes.
Houston doesn't want him to play, if he wanted to play he could speak up and start making noise but it seems he's content with his situation

Klay was damn near in tears on the sidelines last year wishing he could play. I don't agree with this part at all, plenty of players that are competitive and want to be on the court. It ain't even like it's just this year, dude has barely played the past few years, way too many elite players to list who aren't comfortable punting away multiple years of their playing career.

If he really wanted to play he would come off the bench like they asked.

It might not be fair but if he REALLY wanted to play so bad he would do it ala K love.

He's been training in Miami.

Somebody make sense of why Dennis Schroder is playing with the Rockets but John Wall isn't???
It's wild to think that a team paid a player $40 million dollars and told him not to play for a whole season....and still owes him $40+ million next year.

Because you can trade Schroeder in the off-season. Teams will be interested in him.

Schroder is a free agent though.
I'm actually surprised he hasn't been bought out yet.
To me it would make more sense to sit him out to force a cheaper buyout, so he can go to whatever team he wants for the rest of the season.

wall can be traded next season since he'll be on the last year of his deal. technically he has a player option, so if he wanted to get out, he could declined next year's option :mjlol:

that said, the rockets should have let him play that way they can attempt to trade his expiring deal next season or this summer.

Wall would welcome a return to DC. Wizards would only pursue that if he’s bought out.

Ted Leonsis would have to green light it.
