It's the only thing that makes sense as Houston would win any trade sorely by getting off of his contract. If it was an expiring, then it would make more sense to do the deal, but not when it still has the rest of this season before it gets to that point.
Mavs should give up Jalen Brunson for Wall. Rockets need a point guard and Mave need someone to draw attention off of Luka.

I mean he can accept a buyout and get right back out there but he likely wants his full contract. Also I don’t think he’d be content with playing 10-15 minutes a night.
