I wonder what the terms are for Mook's street corner battle, besides the price. I'm guessing Mook owns the footage. But how many rounds? How long are the rounds?
I guess the details will come out, but Mook must have something he wants to say to the battle rap world at large.

Mickey Factz been preaching this format for a very long time.
He's always called it TapOut

It basically means the battlers go until they run outta rhymes (Like the Millz battle,
SMACK didn't record all the rounds. they went on longer than we see on the YouTube)

Just like Lux vs Mook Paz 1 was longer than what we see on YouTube

Lowkey Mickey Factz is one of the best advisers a league could have.
I'm always kinda confused why URL doesn't let him be more hands on with them

Remember those rooftop battles? (Born vs Superwriter etc)
Another one of Mickey Factz' ideas they executed

Gotta be something we don't know about. Mickey does have a lot of sound ideas that have been proven to work, and he was a good scout too. Something tells me he rubbed SMACK and them the wrong way and they just stopped fukkin with him.

A couple reasons I can think of off the top

1. He's an artist at heart, who strives to innovate. A good amount of the ideas that "artists" bring to the table are impractical for sustained business. We hear about his good ideas, not all the ridiculous ones that get shot down. He's also the one who pushed for Half Past 7 to get a PG.

2. He's pretty pompous. He's calmed down a bit, but he's acknowledged that he's can be bit unaware of how he comes across to others. He didn't realize how dikkish he came across to Danny Myers during that 12k fiasco.

3. Dude can't keep a secret. He's offered more detail about how URL works from the inside than anybody who has ever been affiliated with them.

We'll, if it's anything like Mickey was saying during his "beef" with Danny Myers, there would be no footage. If you really want to battle me, come see me. Once you bring in cameras, then it becomes about business.

You know how Hollow always says the same thing? If you want to really battle him come up to him with no cameras.

He almost hooked off on Ave, Piper would definitely get stepped to :dead:

LOLOL I hate when yall do this? Why did you say it like that? Like you got on made up in your head Ave is some super tough guy? What does "Piper would definitely get stepped to"? even mean? Unless yall find him far less intimidating than Ave because he's a blogger, which is dumb in itself..

Agree with Norbes. He said Lux is the best writer in rap period, not just battle rap, and JC's strength is his pen and there's no way he can out write Lux. So he'd have to do more and angles and other performance aren't his strong points.

That's pretty much what I've been saying too. Throw in Lux's stage presence (Which is underrated for some reason) and it's a wrap. Lux's toughest battles were against battle rappers that were great with angles (Mook/Hollow), JC is going to try to outbar Lux, which is suicide.

Basically.

You're going to have to beat Lux with an angle (and that preacher/hypocritical shyt that Mook and Hollow used probably won't work again, unless you're just masterful with it) or just with a great performance. You're not going to just beat him by outrapping him, that's like thinking you're going to beat prime Mike Tyson standing toe-to-toe throwing bombs.

You're missing the point, I was talking about matchups. I was comparing the skills of the two, not the amount of losses. Lux is the worst kind of battler for JC as an opponent.

But he did get killed by Roc and Shine and Clips. all 3 of them overshadowed JC on the stage. That's my point. JC's strength is his bars, and in a battle with another "pen" nikka (Chilla/QP) he will always shine that's a good matchup for him. Whenever JC goes up against battlers with more than just bars, but charisma and presence (KShine/Roc/Clips) he loses or at the very least doesn't look as great.

Now you have Lux, who not only has a better pen than JC, but also has better stage presence than JC. So how is this a good match for JC, when not only is Lux better lyrically, but is a better performer as well? What does JC do that could beat Lux.

No one said that you could never have a bad showing to face Lux lol. Why are you making stuff up. It's not about losing, but it's about who you lost to and how. You can't ignore this, especially when it comes to determining matchups, because it shows strengths/weaknesses.

And I like how you don't put things into context either. Lux lost to MOOK, and has also beaten/had debateables with the best battlers in the game at that time.

JC lost to battlers weaker than Lux, and has only smoked lower tier nikkas.

Killed my nikka? :comeon: Those were all debatables
